Clean hotel with wonderful and helpful staff. The breakfast was amazing. Great place for families with children.

Krishma, Paul, Punkesh, and Valaran all made me feel very welcome. As a lone traveller, I was made to feel welcome and looked after. Everyone is kind, mindful, and thoughtful. I will definitely return. Thank you for a wonderful stay and kindness.

Music and entertainment need to improve for residents.

Somy resort plaza is an outstanding hotel. The staff and manager Paul are absolutely fantastic they go up and above their call of duty to make sure your stay is perfect. It is superbly located slightly set back so you feel you are in a peaceful haven. Everything you need is in easily walking distance. What can I say about the hotel if I could give it 5 star I would. Rooms are lovely with a large TV, bedding changed regularly and a massive bed. It was immaculate and clean towels left every day and cleaned. It had air conditioning and also a ceiling fan and a fridge. Water was left every day. The swimming pool was extremely clean, the pool attendant gave you towels and was always cleaning the pool very early every morning. The breakfast was excellent loads of choice ie: pancakes most days, scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, omelette, poached eggs, cereal and poridge every day alongside juices, breads and cakes. Jam, marmalade and toast. Tea and coffee and also Indian dishes, fresh fruit. Paul the manager continually walked round asking his guests if everything was ok and was very supportive and helpful especially when my husband hurt his foot. For 3 consecutive days Paul patiently bandaged and bathed my husbands foot applying his herbal medicine. Thank you so much Paul we are extremely grateful for all of your help. I have never stayed anywhere where the staff are as helpful and happy as the staff here. Nothing is too much trouble !!! A special mention is Mr Vivienne who is manager in the restaurant he is superb. We will definitely be returning and cannot praise it highly enough.

We loved our 10 day stay at Somy Plaza. Everything about the stay was amazing - the incredible & friendly staff, our lovely room, the great service, the beautiful pool area, the restaurant & breakfast - I give it 5 stars!! Big shout out to Vivienne and the incredible management team - and all the staff at Somy Plaza, everybody really made our stay here so special! The hotel is on one of the main streets in Calangute so there are lots of restaurants to choose from within 5 - 10 minute walking distance (and the hotel restaurant & room service was delicious!). Also within driving distance to Baga, Vagator and Arambol Beach. I would recommend visiting the Houses of Goa museum, it was really interesting learning more about Goan architecture and it is right next to a Mario de Miranda gallery. Thank you so much to everybody at Somy Plaza for their warmth, kindness and amazing hospitality. We will definitely be back!
