Cats pissing all over the place and if ur eating there trying to get onto the tables this is a massive problem and if u tell the staff they just laugh it off and I also didn't like getting robbed in the middle of night while I was asleep I never once opened the balcony door or window but the burglar opened the door through window which I think cleaner left open on purpose

The resort relax feel was good. Great pool and pavilion where food and beverages are served.

I thought the property was overpriced. Property is rated 4 stars on booking.com but I think it’s a 3 star resort. Updates need to occur to rooms and decor in order to classify as a 4 star.

It was like an oasis behind the bustling streets outside

Slightly scruffy round the edges, but you are in India.

Quiet. Nice pool. Plenty of sun beds. Big room & dressing room. Good air con & fans. Cheap.

Breakfast was rubbish. Location not the best, taxis needed to go anywhere. On a very busy road. Slow bar service. No mini bar in room. Annoyingly used as a conference centre, so had big crowds of overbearing Indian men spoiling the ambiance.

Das man gleich bei der Ankunft bezahlen musste, ich kam um 3 Uhr morgens an und war erledigt. Das Frühstück war nicht gut für europäische Verhältnisse ausreichend. Kaffee nur als Pulver. Wenn man Kaffee vom Automaten wollte musste man das extra bezahlen.

After leaving some awful accommodation we were so grateful to Somy Plaza for being the beautiful safe haven that we moved to. All the staff were fantastic, so welcoming and super accommodating. The room was large, with an additional dressing room, and a nice bathroom with a big walk in shower. We had air con, a ceiling fan, a wall mounted tv, and a safety deposit box. It was all very comfortable and kept lovely and clean for our whole stay (of nine days). The grounds and pool area were beautiful and kept very nice and tidy. The pavilion was great for food and drinks, and we were so well looked after, especially by Vivian … who was warm and friendly, and did anything he could to help. The manager Paul was very friendly and helpful, as was everyone, from reception, through to gate security. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this lovely place and to stay here again ourselves. Bravo Somy Plaza - Calangute!

Occasionally, it was a little noisy in the night due to the selfishness of other residents returning to their rooms (which you can get anywhere), and thanks to the cockerel behind the rear rooms of the hotel.
