Ambience was good, Location was very Beautiful . Staff and security was good

The food was not up to the mark, neither it was cooked properly nor it was tasty. The room was not cleaned properly,found biscuits, wrappers under the table. The mosquito nets are completely torn in room 201. The front desk is not interested in treating the guests, there were no calls prior coming to the place, even after check-in, nobody calls to inform about the events, they only called us to remind about check out.

Staff is good.

No wifi for the entire duration we were there. Situated in a very remote location. Very expensive for the amenities offered.

The only thing I liked was the greenery around the resort which I dont think they had any role to play, thanks to mother nature. oh yes, the other thing I liked is that everyone at the resort - from security guard to the general manager - says "namaste sir", very pleasing and nice. will give you a goody goody feeling at the time of check in.

There were lots - 1. Approach roads (there were 2), especially the last 4-5 kms to the resort is very bad; an inexperienced driver can end up going off track and risk climbing 45 degree steep roads full of pebbles and potholes, in fact there is no road. There was no sineage to the resort...none at all. The resort is in an isolated place and there is no cell reception. So if your google maps does not work, then you are driving blind for the last 4 kms, with multuple v-forks on the way. Hope for the best and keep on one track and you will hopefully get there. 2. The resort is terribly understaffed for the size and the large area that it covers. Every thing takes ages. The available staff is doing its best but they keep promising things will done in 5 minutes, which never happens. It took 1 hour for the buggy to arrive to pick my luggage while checking out. BTW, there is only 1 buggy for the entire resort and needless to say it is always busy, but serving someone else. There is a 2nd buggy, but I never saw it being operated. 3. Wifi setup is very poor. This is still manageable but in an area where there is no cell reception, net connection is the only lifeline to the outside world. Again, 5 minutes me hoojayaga sir, will never hoojayega. I checked in at 4 PM, the wifi finally got fixed around 10 PM. 4. Very dissappointed with the quality of food served (I had 1 dinner & 1 breakfast) provided by the resort. Dishes were tasteless, service was very poor as the staff was taking its own sweet time to replace items as they were consumed, veg item kept right next to a non-veg dish (donno if guests used the same serving spoon for both), tables not cleaned timely, etc.,. It felt like the Chef did not taste the dishes to check if they were good to be serve. 5. For the price charged, the rooms were very small, lighting very poor, extra cots felt like stone benches, general manager doubling as a disc jockey (very funny!!). I can go one, but there is a space limitation.

Tapovan is a beautiful, aesthetic property with a large and well-maintained campus. The staff are extremely courteous and go out of their way to make the stay comfortable – a special mention to Shankar, Sushant, and Amom for their warm hospitality. The rooms are spacious, spotless, and beautifully designed, blending Karnataka’s ethnic charm with modern architecture in their cottage layouts. From the balcony, you get a serene view of the coffee estate, and the beautiful Sakleshpur weather with light rains adds its own charm to the experience. The resort also serves a delicious buffet spread with plenty of variety to suit different tastes.

Rooms were not clean and just handed down from past cleaning. Full of cob webs and insect eggs along with no proper cleaning of the floor. Found cigarette packs and other items below beds. Had to spend 1 hour to get the staff to clean the room so that we could use.

Breakfast, property's scenic view, cooperative staff and well managed services. Thanks to Mary and Jinith at the front desk and Hoi in the restaurant
