Tree Cool Resort

We are a couple Irish and Australian backpacking around sri lanka. This is a cute little place and is run by a lady and her mother. Its got the soft touch and cuteness, can tell its looked after and ran by women. They are super lovely and her english is very good. Gave us lots of good advice and was also welcoming to us everytime we left and came home. They have a gate out front so just notify them if you plan on staying out late They also offer laundry service which came at a really good time for us.

The wifi cut out every now and then but thats about it, you spend all your time out about in Ella so it didn't really bother us.

The owner's father is nice and friendly. Help me throughout my whole trip in Ella. Make sure I get to the correct bus for next station.

The water supply is toooooo slow, the light is dim if turn on heater. There is frog in the room but luckily the owner help to clean it. The room fan is dirty and small

Staff was courteous. Caretakers also offered me to take around sight seing for a reasonable price, which was helpful. Most importantly, the guest house (ideally not a resort where you would expect more amenities such as pool, etc) is conveniently located behind the Ella Railway station. Short walking distance to the Ella downtown vibes.

It would be nice if there was a mop in the bathroom to sweep some water to the drain after a shower. The bathroom is very clean, though. Nice if there are soft pillows.

Pot of tea on arrival, both Uncle and Madam (father and daughter) were quite excited to see us which was a nice touch. They were more than willing to offer assistance and ideas about local trips and sights. Felt safe as it seems they were always close by. They helped us with transport options to the south coast. Nice people.

Mosquitoes around, but the netting helped at bedtime.

Very friendly happy to make a cup of tea for us when we arrived home and we had lovely breakfasts

Bathroom isn’t great

It’s literally next to the train station, which was helpful for us.

The bathroom needs a bit of work.

Great location to reach the train station, Ellas restaurants/bars and to start hikes right from the accomodation all around! Very friendly and kind host family! Good breakfast and laundry service was reliable!

On the weekends there was really loud music playing until late in the night. (noise cancelling headphones helped!)

There was beautiful place Out site have amazing flowers gardens .location is perfect just 500 m from near Ella city and train station.

Toilet was very poor , need some update -shower water was very very Slow and problem hot water
