El Mar Naxos

We loved the beautiful pool and bar area. Everything was modern and very clean. Walking distance to town, but away from the noise. Staff were amazing and super helpful.

Big 10/10. Everything at Le Mar was amazing. The beautifully designed and brand new apartment with amazing view over Chora and beautiful sunsets. It has a very comfortable bed, a wonderful shower and an equipped kitchen. The pool area was amazing: very clean and comfortable and again amazing views over the city. We also really enjoyed the delicious breakfast at Le Mar with fresh orange juice! Last but not least: the staff was wonderful. So kind and helpful, they arranged everything from transport to restaurant reservations.

The villa was very comfortable especially the beds. The girl on the check in desk was very pleasant. The view out to sea was stunning.

I’m really sorry to have to say but there were many things and I feel I need to mention them as you are a new business and to keep going the way you are will hurt the business I’m afraid. The villas are beautiful but the complex is on top of a really steep dirt track road and really hard to navigate. It’s pitch black at night and surrounded by land that can only be described as a dumping ground. Walking up this at night felt really unsafe. The desolation around the complex really ruined its appeal. The breakfast was the same everyday and the eggs were stone cold under really ineffective gas heaters. They only replaced items one at a time and the service felt really forced. Not 4 star quality I'm afraid and needs to be much more varied and much better quality. All the staff felt really nervous and this wasn’t very relaxing. The owner seemed to live on site in a house behind the complex with a loud barking dog and loud shouting / family talking quite frequently. She also had a young kid she walked around the villas to get her to sleep! There didn't seem to be any boundary between the private life and the business. This was a bit uncomfortable and at times it felt intrusive. The bar area had very little stock and the swimming pool was very small. And the worst thing for me was some staff vaping and smoking at the breakfast bar in front of us and other customers. This was especially uncomfortable during breakfast time as at some times I could smell smoke whilst eating my breakfast. I’m afraid all these things need to be ironed out to make a professional business and for it to be truly 4 star.

The hotel is a brand new structure located at 3 minutes drive from Chora (Naxos city). Our room (2 rooms) was big and very nice with a great terrasse with Jaccuzzi that was really enjoyable. The staff was very friendly, always smilling and willing to help. The owner was also very nice. We were showed another room for couple and it was just amazing. The furniture and the size of the room were just beautiful.

Our appartment had 2 rooms, but you had to go through the 1st one to reach the terrasse and the 2nd one. It was not really convinient as we were 2 couples and you loose a bit privacy. The fridge and the safe are in the 1st room and it could be an issue. Despite this small issue we spent a great time at El mar Naxos and we will return to it when back in Naxos. As the contruction is new, the around area is not yet finished. In addition, there are dogs around that were crying during nights. However, this is nothing the hotel could do for it and we enjoyed our stay despite this.

Beautiful hotel 10 minutes away (walking distance) from the busy castle area and city center. The area where the hotel is located is very quiet and the rooms have a stunning view of the city and the sea. The owners and the staff are extremely friendly and hospitable. They helped us with every request we had and they arranged everything we needed to make our stay unforgettable and easy. From car rental (which was delivered at the hotel) to restaurant reservations and cruises they were more than happy to help and take away any stress and hustle that these could cause if you would do it yourself. Furthermore, my girlfriend was celebrating her 30th birthday and they organized a beautiful surprise for her. The room was decorated with balloons, happy birthday signs and they had festive music playing in the room when we came back to the hotel. The hotel's pool is very clean and the benches around it were very comfortable. Very positive that the days we visited there were no kids in the hotel so we didn't have to deal with the playground that usually becomes the pool when kids are around. Rooms are well equipped, the beds were extremely comfortable and they offer two types of pillows to make sure you have the best comfort during your sleep. Very good air-conditioning with quiet mode, perfect during the night especially when you have sensitive ears like I do. Breakfast was not the richest I have ever had but definitely was to the point with some local ingredients and homemade pies! Clean sheets and towels were provided daily and the room was maintained clean by the cleaning team daily. The hotel provides towels for the guests when they want to use the pool. Bar prices were very accessible!

Lovely spacious and modern room. Loved the layout and design. Alex and staff were excellent. Went over and above to make us feel comfortable and welcomed. We were tired from travel checking in and Alex kindly organised food delivery from great little restaurant for us.

The breakfast was the let down. There were a lot of flies around the food which put me off eating. Had it not been for this I would have rated it 10.

Superb accommodation in quiet area 10 minutes walk to all restaurants, port, bars, etc. Very luxurious suite with great views. We were in Suite 1 which had a huge.balcony and great sunset views. The pool area was very relaxing after a day of sightseeing.

The room was very beautiful,clean and modern. The staff was really good especially the woman who worked at the reception- she did everything to make our stay as good as possible! Pool area had comfy chairs and the sunset view was beautiful

It is a new hotel and for this money we were hoping for something more luxurious and better quality. The breakfast was average and unfortunately although other customers have also pointed it out they still serve cold eggs and meat products in their breakfast buffet. Also the area around the hotel is not great- it is so sad to see so much trash and old construction materials just laying around. There was a neighbours poor dog barking almost the whole night and we woke up many times because of it. This hotel has lot of potential to be better if the owner would make changes- especially with cleaning the trash around the hotel.

Superb stay. Cant recommend enough. My wife and I stayed 3 nights at this hotel. On the edge of town, about 15 to 20 minutes walk to the harbour, the hotel is in very quiet area, approached by a road/track which doesn't give a great initial impression, but, my, once you reach the hotel, it's like a paradise, with great views of Naxos town and sea from the pool. We booked a suite, which was beautiful and well worth the extra money. Very well equipped with ultra modern TV, kitchen gadgets, shower and super, super bed )and I am fussy with mattresses)! The breakfasts were superb. Marina, the chef prepared everything freshly, with some delicious pastries, home made pies and cakes, as well as fruit, yoghurt, eggs (freshly made), meats etc. The orange cake was soooo good. All the staff were so welcoming, from the moment we arrived in the evening. Alex helped us to the room with a recommendation for dinner. During the daytime nothing was too much trouble for Angeliki. Everyone from reception, catering, bar and cleaning teams were so helpful and friendly. This was a memorable place to stay. Thank you.
