Alam Wayang Ubud - CHSE Certified

Location and the staff were excellent. It was close to restaurants, great coffee shops and shops in general.

Thank you to all the staff at Alam Wayang Ubud for making our stay so enjoyable. Everyone was incredibly friendly, kind, and always ready to help. The room was clean and comfortable, with a large bed and a nice bathroom. The breakfast was delicious, the prices were reasonable, and the location was convenient,close to the center of Ubud while still being peaceful and quiet. We truly enjoyed our stay and would happily come back again. Thank you for your wonderful hospitality!

The room was beautiful. It was exceptionally well-designed with a lovely glass covered outside bathroom. I loved the private tropical garden and the plant-filled winding path through the property to reach it. The restaurant menu was imaginatively designed and tasted delicious.

I was unsure about the no password internet access. I would prefer password protection. The entrance to the property was a motorbike parking spot which made it noisy.

The staff were the only good thing this hotel has to offer.

We booked the two bedroom and 1 bedroom villas. Both had German cockroaches. All the bathrooms flood turning the bedrooms into swimming pools. The hot water runs out when showering, tea and coffee facilities are outside, coffee is not included for breakfast, toast is not included for breakfast, restaurant was basic and bland. Breakfast was terrible. I will not be coming back to this hotel.

Staff are not exceptional. They were the best asset this resort offers.

- no water to rooms at night they switch off the pumps to save water. They come back on in the morning. - limited hot water. Enjoy a good shower or bath? Well this place isn’t for you. Think water restrictions in Aussie drought kind of showers. Hot water runs out after 2.5 people shower. - restaurant food is basic and boring - showers flood in the villas with water reaching the bedroom in the single villa - coffee not included with breakfast - German cockroaches in the villas - watered down shower gel and hand soap Overall it’s like this resort is on a budget so that the owner can profit more - and all at the expense of its patrons.
