Asokam Beach Resort

The location is great, just on the beach and one can access the beach easily for a bath. The beach road is 1.5 km long and there are lot of eating joints with nice ambient and sea view. Though they don’t have in house dining, the food was good

The room rates are quite high but they didn’t provide the basic facilities: 1. The room didn’t have a ceiling fan but only a table fan. So if you don’t want the a/c at night, you would have a lot of problem in sleeping because the air doesn’t circulate well in the room 2. I booked the resort because of swimming pool but the pool was dirty when we arrived. after asking them to clean, we had to wait until next day afternoon to get access to the pool. Moreover, it was not even cleaned properly and my child got sick after using the pool 3. There are lot of power cuts here and they won’t switch on the generator immediately so you have to wait for 10-15 mins in the room without a/c and fan 4. No cleaning of rooms everyday. 5. They don’t have in house dining and you have to order food well in advance so that they can get it from mess. 6. Security was a big concern. The gates were always open and anyone can walk in to the resort. At night, though the gates were closed, I felt unsafe to stay with family as there was no security guard and the lights were turned off at night

1. All of the staff very courteous and cooperative except the manager who messed up check in. 2. Locations also excellent. 3. Masseur excellent for male and female guest.

1. The room allocated by manager at time if checkin was not the one which we booked. But once we settled in they offered to change the room which was highly inconvenient for the obvious reasons. Then AC went kaput and they could not mend it. We had to spend whole afternoon in room without AC. In the evening we had to change the room as AC was still under repair. And now comes thev interesting part when we complained to the Mgmt.next day about this they said that we refused to change the room. Wow... 2. In the initial room (No 201(water (pressure) pipes have been used as curtain rods. Quite a sight. 3. Manager after messing upinitial checkin remained unapologetic till almost last moment when I had to raise my vouce . He then accepted the mistake. 4. Rooms are having spiders in bathrooms. Pointed out to staff. 5. Mattress wete uncomfortable. Did not report. I am sure after this Management will still extract some excuse to put the onus on us for our experience.
