Eterno Camellia & Elettaria Resort with Pool

The rooms were okay and the food though costly was good. View from the room was good

Location of the resort is 4 kms away from the nearest town and 17 kms or an hour away from Munnar. To reach the resort one has go through 4 kms of steep hill climb with some portion of the road in very bad state. Sightseeing munnar from this location is difficult due to its distance.

We have spent 2 nights in this hotel and we were very disappointed by the establishment. This is not a 4 star hotel as it claims to be. Not even a one star hotel. Future guests should be aware of the following points : 1. The hotel is 24km away from Munnar, approximately 45min by car. The road is very stiff at times and in bad conditions. We were surprised that the hotel does not have a car service knowing the hotels location. 2. There is severe lack of professionnalism from the staff and management. We asked the hotel to order a taxi for the next morning to go to Munnar at 7:30. The taxi came at 8am., 30min delay and we almost missed the tour we had booked. The evening they have mistaken our order. And as we wanted to check out, they told us that they don't accept international payment (4 star and no international payment?!) And didn't think to tell us in advance. So we literally had to give all our cash money to pay for our stay and didn't even have enough left to pay for the taxi. 3. The only good point in this hotel is the view, but it's completely ruined by the noise of the construction work that they are doing. It starts at 8am and finishes at 7pm. A sound of hammer against steel. Also the walls are very thin between the houses. We had a group of teenagers next to our house and we could hear them all night. 4. We were surprised that the room service called us one night to ask us if we had already eaten. We were doing a nap and were waken up by the call. Usually it's the client who calls the room service, not the opposite. The person in charge of the bookings also called me on my cell at 9:30 pm to ask if we were happy with our stay. Usually we stop calling people after 7pm to give them some quiet. I wish I had known all this before booking and should have read the reviews that all seem to point to point the same problems. It's definitely not to worth the money paid.

the staff, not all one mr.John housekeeping Incharge.. he commented infront of me about our blanket usage. I think didn’t know that am the one use the room he mentioned.. his comment was very ridiculous. if the blanket were given not for use in that cold climate.,they shud have mentioned it while they make payment.. it was stupid comment he has made.😡😡😡

Road very very waste no staff come and help me baggage

There nothing to like about Eterno camellia. By reaching the resort itself we were upset.

The resort is very far from munnar town and the most difficult part is reaching the resort. From kunjithanni there is a short cut but only bike can go. The other way is far and very bad road and steep climbing. You need to drive your vehicle in 1st gear in these climbings. Its very risk to go to this resort in the night. Road is very pathetic condition and the last 300 meters were very risky specially in the night. By reaching the resort we were upset and decided not to stay there. The view from the resort is not at all like what we see in the pics they provided. It was really disappointing since we stayed in a different resort which was really awesome compared to Eterno camelia. Since we decided not to stay there i won't be able to comment on room and food.
