The Spectrum Resort - Chikmagalur

Location is very good, staff is exceptionally good, very cooperative and helpful

Price is too high keeping in mind the basic rooms they provide

The property is located in the middle of the idyllic, green and quiet hills of Chikmanglur, away from the town. The facilities are reasonably good but not yet star quality. The rooms were comfortable. The staff at the reception and in the restaurant were very polite and responsive. The housekeeping staff, especially Jyoti, Akshatha, and Sandhya, did a good job of cleaning our rooms. The food in general was good and suitable for an Indian palate - the breakfast had decent variety and the non-veg we ordered as room service was also good. The high tea was average however.

The reception, the rooms, the restaurant, the pool etc. are at different heights and there are too many steep steps to climb to get the rooms. My elderly parents really struggled. There are very few ramps and even those are not even. Not at all friendly for the physically-challenged. The entry pathway to the resort is in poor condition and requires renovation.
