The Village Bunaken

Beautiful layout and options for relaxing in the shade by the sea, the bungalows were lovely and staff helpful. Kayaks you could take out too which we loved.

No mosquito net and one of us did diving for the first time and was given a coach who appeared to be on some kind of trial maybe? He didn’t speak much English and it made the experience a little stressful which was sad.

The room was spacious and clean. Very comfortable with a nice bed, bathroom, etc. Our hostess was great and attentive to everyone's needs. The reef right out in front has some fantastic coral. Our excursions were great and so many snorkeling and dive spots nearby. This area is a great value. They do a super job keeping the grounds clean and tidy. The food was good. I would come here again for sure.

The bathroom in this room has two steps down which is no problem unless you have mobility issues.

Absolutley wonderful hosts on this small little island. Loved that there was only 8 little villa/cabins. It was really lovely to be in an intimate setting where you got to minggle with other guests at meals times. Incredible local food cooked for each table breakfast,lunch and dinner! WONDERFUL. Fu helped us to arrange taxi and small local boat to and from Bunken too which ever so helpful. Thankyou Guys for a lovely stay.

Fantastic stay: The Village Bunaken provides a very comfortable accommodation in a beautiful setting.The activities are very well organized and the safety measures are professionally implemented. Food: the breakfast, lunch, dinner of good quality and variety. The Management and staff are very friendly and professional. In conclusion we had a very enjoyable stay at the Village Bunaken. Food was plenty full. Staff was very accomodating. The room had a perfect view and was overall nicely done.

The room had a ceiling fan, and no aircon, a ekstra floor fan would have been nice to have.

Location is perfect. 20 minutes walk to the village. Corals in front of the hotel are stunning. Hosts are really nice. The cottages are also very comfortable.

Meals and activities are pricey, although the good is very good! We didn't pre book diving and had no license. Unfortunately there were no DSD instructors available anymore, so I could not dive. This doesn't affect my score for the resort, but be prepared to book in advance if you dont have a license, but want to try diving.

Beautiful and relaxing. Next to a spa. Friendly host. Beach and areas are kept clean. Nice designed rooms. Enough shade and beds. No problems with mosquitos (mosquito prevention). Good shower pressure and products.

Prices for renting snorkeling gear and diving is on the high side. Only a fan, which was too hot for me.

Everything into the smallest detail. Extremely friendly hosts, great food and really great location for diving/ snorkeling. We stayed with our nearly 1 year old daughter and we had a really great time.
