Kitespot vela island. Free room upgrade with AC. BBQ evening was nice! Sunsets are beautiful.

The lagoon was very gust, the price of a room is 3x the price because they rent out north kite gear? Not really understand how that relate. Lots of death mosquito spots. Small Frogs in the room.

Wonderful stay with friendly staff and great food. Strong community vibe – easy to meet amazing people. Perfect kitesurfing setup and nice relaxing areas. I’ll remember this place fondly.

Super Kiteresort mit guter Ausstattung an Leihequipment, tolle Lage und Atmosphäre, der Pool im Palmresort nebenan kann genutzt werden, ein Ort zum Entspannen - gleichzeitig bietet das Windresort viele Orte zum Treffen anderer Personen, sehr zu empfehlen für Alleinreisende, man findet extrem schnell Anschluss. Auch das Personal ist super freundlich und zuvorkommend. Ein Plus ist auch das stabile Internet (Wifi) und Notstrom sowie gemütliche Lounges, sodass ich von dort problemlos auch Zoomcalls wahrnehmen konnte. Vielen Dank für den tollen Aufenthalt!

Super freundliches Personal. Sehr gute Kite Schule. Das Boot fährt jeweils morgens und nachmittags zweimal zum gegenüberliegenden Kiteplatz. Sehr schön, dass man den Pool im De Silva Palmresort mitnutzen kann. Ca. 300 m zu Fuß.

Wir hatten zwei Bungalows. Der eine war oben offen mit Insektengitter und deshalb wesentlich angenehmer, als der andere, welcher oben geschlossen war. Badezimmer etwas in die Jahre gekommen.

La vétusté des installations. Le prix des chambres est beaucoup trop élevé par rapport aux prestations proposées - bungalows vraiment sommaires, peintures/décoration vieillots La nourriture est loin d’être bonne. Après 10 jours au Sri Lanka, c’est une de nos plus grosse déception en terme de prestation proposée à prix équivalent.

Eine tolle Mischung aus Gemütlichkeit und sehr gutem Service. Ausserdem ist hier die einzige Windsurfstation (natürlich gibts auch Kite und Wingfoil)

I went with my wife to De Silva Wind Resort and We were greeted by a smiling lady called Sanduni. We felt at home from the time she explained all the details professionally. We were escorted to a basic but clean room and served with welcome drinks. We were really happy and rested till evening. Dinner time,we were treated with a buffet with offering that matched the price. We awoke next day and had a hearty meal in the morning, and set about joining the kite team in the boat. Even though we did not know anything about kite surfing the team led by Sachin and Chalanka showed us how to use those equipments which were brought all the way from Europe by the owner of the kite school. We came back to the hotel in the afternoon and watch the sunset from the chill out area with a beer from the well laid bar. Next day we came back to Colombo with a stunning experience that will make us go again when the season begins in October.

The place is great to learn kite surfing, but the accommodation is extremely basic and absolutely overpriced for the rooms you get. Food is good but expensive but no alternatives in the area
