Kuru Resort

The nature is absolutely stunning. Rest and isolation guaranteed. The spa staff and the restaurant staff have been helpful and professional.

We really enjoyed the cabin. But we quickly understood the lack of access to the rest of facilities that the property claims for Kuru. Even specified on Booking… Since the new ownership, there is no food facilities in the private resort. We had to pay a quite high rate for the day spa just to access the pool. Not living up to the “Wellness retreat” standard at all. Its a pity since these complaints can be easily fixed. Too bad the management seems to care more about scraping the margins.

We love the terrace, the privacy of the corner lakeside suite 33, the coffee/tea, the private sauna , the bath tub and of course the firm mattress.

The rather small toilet. We would love to be able to park in proper parking lots.

Stunning lakeside views in a lovely quiet setting. Wonderful breakfast delivered to your rooms. Deep peace and quiet.

I’d give this 5 stars, 10 out of 10, but there was a problem with the bathtub and when we asked about it, all we were offered was a much worse room without any compensation for the downgrade. So we kept the room with the leaky bath tub. Wonderful location, but the management was not great at dealing with problems.

The lake suite where we stayed is very peaceful and equipped with all the necessary comfort. To be able to have the lake view from the bed and the bathtub is just amazing. The dinner at the Restaurant Solitary was the highlight of our visit. I highly recommend if you are a foody.

The breakfast was versatile but we missed some fresh bread or the possibility to pick from a menu, most of the bakery products and pastry felt like bought from a supermarket. We also came for the hiking trails beside the property and were a bit disappointed they were rocky small roads. They are perfect for fat bikes but not hikers. Finally the terrace could have a bit more privacy.

Our Kuru Lake Suite situated only a couple of meters from Lake Hietalampi. Lake view was amazing even from our bathroom and sauna. We also loved our glazed terrace with hanging chairs. The suite was new and stylish. So our holiday was perfect.
