The Pancor Jungle Resort

Beautiful clean fresh rooms with balcony and lovely views. Staff were excellent and made everything easy. Yummy breakfast served on balcony. Short ride to cafes and snorkelling.

We decided to stay at the pancor jungle a second time because it is seems very cheap compared to other places, the rooms are very spacious and the beds are really comfortable. The room gets cleaned every day (luckily, read below). If you decide to rent a scooter you can reach all of the famous spots in Nusa Penida from the resort, its only five minutes to the next beach, warungs and beach clubs. If you like privacy and a quiet neighbourhood this will be a fit for you.

When we arrived here for the first time we were a little bit confused as they advertise and call this place a „resort“ with facilities like a spa and a restaurant. We never saw any spa or were offered any spa treatments, neither did we see them offer any food beside the breakfast which was included. It is literally just five bungalows next to each other (none of them with a sea view btw as it is located directly in the jungle). Unfortunately the door isn‘t fully sealed so you will have to deal with mosquitos in your room even if you keep the door closed. Also it seems that the roof of the bungalow provides shelter for a bunch of gekos, which poo from the ceiling so it happened we woke up to geko poo in the bathroom every morning. All of the above was manageable and not a BIG deal for us, but what really upset us this time was the hosts. As it was our second time staying with them and because they seemed friendly before, we hoped they will be helpful and providing different solutions to us when we had to leave three days earlier as planned. Note that we were the only guests staying with them and all the other bungalows were not occupied, still they refused to give us a refund, or just have a conversation with us on how to handle the situation so everyone involved was happy. After we asked them to contact booking in order to change our dates, they said no and we ended up paying for those three nights and left straight away…

The hotel arranged all of our transportation for us through WhatsApp, perfect for first time on the islands. Breakfast every morning was great: eggs, toast, coffee, and fresh fruit. Staff family was very friendly, especially the young boy. Staff always offered room service every day and would make up the room if you were out. Offered discounted services like scooter rental, snorkeling, massage. About a ten minute scooter ride to the shops. Great resort right above the hotel with a restaurant and pool.

It was advertised as having more on the property, such as a spa and food, but it is only rooms. Ants and gecko poop in the room that I had to clean. Far away from attractions and beaches.

Le lieu est très propre, bien placé proche des restaurants (attention à la grosse descente/montée en arrivant à l'hôtel si vous êtes en scooter). Le lit est fait tous les jours et une bouilloire ainsi que du thé/café est à disposition dans la chambre. Il y a une baignoire.

Pas si extraordinaire que ce à quoi nous nous attendions en lisant les précédants commentaires. La gérante est sympathique mais n'a pas su répondre à nos questions vis à vis du snorkeling tour qu'elle voulait pourtant nous vendre (plus cher qu'ailleurs), par exemple. L'endroit est calme mais nous entendons quand même les voisins ainsi que les coqs. La clim ne fonctionne pas bien s'il fait trop chaud. Le petit déjeuner est très simple (crêpe, ou 1 œuf avec 1 tranche de pain et quelques morceaux de fruits). Enfin, il faut payer pour avoir accès à de l'eau potable. En résumé, l'hôtel est très bien mais vous pouvez avoir une qualité équivalente pour un peu moins cher.

Room was perfect; clean and spacious. Bathroom was also vey good. The hosts were super kind. Always smiley and ready to help. Would definitely recommend it.
