Avaton Luxury Beach Resort - Relais & Chateaux

The stuff is fantastic, the location is amazing, the sand is fine, the beach is clean. It was one of the best beach hotels I've ever stayed at. Food is simply amazing, I've saved some ideas from the dinner menu.

Only one thing, the “stars watching” event that was advertised as also for adults. I wouldn’t recommend it though, more suited for children or for adults with kids.

We stayed at the end of August. Beach and restaurant were good as always but we had a heavy sewage smell in our bathroom. What a Luxury experience it is to brush your teeth to a sewage smell. When we reported the issue the team tried to help but they couldn't and didn't move us to a room where there is no such smell. It was our 3rd or 4th visit and we are not coming back. Same goes for the other 3 friend families that where with us. There were other inconveniences like they checked us in the wrong room. By 2pm our was not cleaned and when we requested cleaning the forgot to change our bed sheets... They really struggle if the hotel is at full capacity. They ruined one of our dinners by allowing smoking on the table next to us while the windows were closed and we are with a baby and a small kid... Good that their beach is so good otherwise it will be empty.
