D Family Resort

Peaceful, friendly and private place to stay while being taken care of by the kindest people. Everything you need is at hand. These are little cottages with a nice terrace out front and a balcony overlooking the green. The inside is quite dark, okay with lights on of course, but very cozy and spacious enough. Warm shower, comfy bed, kitchen with sink and fridge. Breakfast and other meals can be ordered to your own cottage and are big and very delicious. Sri Lankan breakfast is a big tip. City centre is a short tuktuk drive away but the top restaurant of the area (Golden Mango - came back every day) is just a stroll away. Also: they put us in touch with tuktuk driver Raja, who is the friendliest man and ended up taking us to many amazing (and hidden) places around for a good price. BIG BIG TIP to also contact Raja to really add to your stay in the area.

Its a nice place the staff is nice and the room was ok

Unfortunately the bathroom was moldy, so that is something i did not expect and it was dissapointing. The road leading to the hotel is not the best.

Owner and staff are extremely nice and helpful. Hotel is clean and room is quite big. There is also parking area.

Everything was okay, bathroom could be bigger but it is not an issue

We had a cabana right by the jungle/waterfront, which was super cute and had a great tucked away veranda that was perfect to release/read/play cards while listening to sounds of the jungle. Radhikaa and the staff were so attentive and helpful, and helped us organise trips and even got up super early to give us breakfast before we went on our day safari trip (despite the heavy rain, we had a great day and saw a bear with two baby cubs). Would definitely stay again!

The cabana can get quite damp from the humidity (bed/clothes) but a tip is to leave the air con on dehumidify / dry setting for a few hours before bed, then it was fine!
