"Incredible hospitality and opportunities for wildlife watching!"

9.0

Beautiful property on the edge of the forest and (I think) partially within Ranthambore National Park. When we were being shown around after check-in, we got to see two sambar deer and a blue bull jumping across the small pond and into the tall grass right around the hotel! So cool. The room we booked actually had a view of another pond where the property manager said that you can sometimes see crocodiles and gharials in. We unfortunately didn't have time to do much wildlife watching at the hotel because we had two safaris booked back-to-back, but it definitely made us wish we had two nights here instead of one. Our room was spacious and comfortable to spread out in. The shower is huge and we really enjoyed using the rain shower. Unfortunately didn't get to use the outdoor bath due to lack of time (and also fear of mosquitoes). There were also some hornets hovering near the outdoor bath's faucet, so that made us a little wary. Something neither of us realized is that the resort is all-inclusive! We just expected breakfast and dinner, but they supplied lunch as well. The food was absolutely delicious every single meal -- it was actually some of the best food we had our entire trip in northern India. Staff is also incredible; the hospitality was impeccable. We told the hotel we were celebrating our 11th anniversary, and they set up a candelight dinner for us near the pond! It was so sweet and made the trip even more romantic. When it was time for dessert, they brought us a homemade cake (so delicious, we finished all of it over dinner and the next day). Couldn't have asked for more.

The rooms were really dark. There were only a couple of lamps to illuminate the room, and it felt like we were just squinting the whole time. I think they're going for an eco-lodge aesthetic, so a lot of things were made from stone/wood; however, the toilet paper holder was pretty janky (two pieces of wood holding the roll in), and the wood was constantly falling out. There also wasn't a curtain or divider for the shower, so the water would just spray everywhere (including getting the toilet paper wet). This is super nit-picky: we weren't expecting our room to be serviced while we were out on the morning safari, and I came back to find the bed nicely made but my pajamas/underwear piled on the bench where our dirty backpacks were. I get weirded out by the idea of someone touching my clothes, especially my clean, sleeping clothes, so it bothered me a little that they were moved and put on something very clearly dirty. The room was serviced again when we left to grab a quick breakfast, and the housekeeping kind of just piled everything onto the desk or the bench. Made it a bit annoying to figure out where things were so we could properly organize and repack them for check-out.

"Nice place as it was where the founder of the national park began .Nice location and sympathetic to the environment comp"

8.0

Wonderful position -exceptional staff who looked after us beautifully .The villas were nice and well located . What made our stay was the super head naturalist and driver . They made our stay exciting and were hugely knowledgeable. It is very expensive for what you get .

The campfire area was soulless .Lots of chairs around campfires with no atmosphere. The swimming pool was a hole in the ground ,covered by a sheet with no privacy.

"Highlight of our trip around India"

10.0

Everything from the food to the service was impeccable. From the moment we arrived the Khem Villa’s team made us feel welcome, even offering us a complimentary upgrade as they were not very busy during hot June. Location is amazing with a huge property enabling you to do game walks at your own leisure. Special mention the Dinesh the resident nature guide who was very knowledgeable and even managed to spot us a Jungle cat on an evening walk. I think this may the best place to stay in Ranthambore and we will be back

"Incredible staff, a warm and friendly environment set in its own patch of heaven."

10.0

the property is located very close to gates 1-5, so a short drive into the park. A beautiful and quiet sanctuary sitting on around 30 acres of their own land makes the perfect place to relax and enjoy the surroundings. Every meal we ate, fully catered for four nights, was outstanding. Going above and beyond for dietary requirements. Flavours, options, freshness and quantity were all outstanding. Fantastic staff, always happy to help and provide a superb service.

We loved how connected to nature we were, how close to the National park the property was and the staff were all exceptional.

There is nothing we did not like but the price point is high for a property that does not include drinks in the total.
