Excellent location and hospitality

We absolutely loved our stay! The little villa with view on the water hole was perfect for us and the staff really attentive. Especially the on-site naturalists and guides, they really went out of their way to make our stay memorable.

Wonderful property and grounds. The location on the edge of the National park was fantastic and we saw wildlife without even leaving the premises. Vegetarian food was excellent and we didn’t even miss meat or fish. The small touches like hot water bottles and snacks for safaris were appreciated and we loved our stay. Our rooms were spacious, comfortable and well decorated and we loved the outdoor bath.

Staff were excellent if a little serious…more smiles would be welcome, especially at check in. The plunge pool wasn’t very inviting and needed cleaning of leaves and debris, but that was a small issue and probably not used much in January anyway.

Perfect location to explore Ranthambore national park. Excellent staff, who couldn’t do enough to help. All inclusive stay includes outstanding meals particularly the evening curries, and all care was taken to cater for gluten free requirements. Chef was excellent and put a lot of personal care into catering to her guests. Much of produce used for meals is grown at the hotel or locally. Rooms comfortable and clean and serviced frequently. We stayed in Forest view Villa which had lovely patio with jungle views and lots of wonderful birds. Safaris into Ranthambore were supported by hotel with blankets and hot water bottles much appreciated for cold early morning safaris. Overall highly recommend Khem Villas as an ideal place to stay when visiting the tigers!

Safari company recommended by hotel (Big Striped Cat Safaris) cost more than quoted due to miscommunication. Recommend to use hotel to clarify safari plan or use alternative safari company.

The staff were very helpful. The hotel was the only one that provided blankets and refreshments for the safari rides compared to the other hotels that people I'd met on the safari rides also used.

The eco-lodge is beautiful and peaceful, with a very comfortable bed and incredibly friendly staff. I want to give a special mention to the Chef and the Naturalist Guide. The Chef took amazing care of us—being vegan, all our meals were perfectly adapted, absolutely delicious, and she always checked personally if we needed anything else. The walk with the Naturalist Guide was fantastic! You can tell he truly loves animals, nature and insects XD and his knowledge is impressive. He explained everything clearly and spoke excellent English.

Tout le personnel était souriant et gentil pendant notre séjour. Ils ont tout fait pour que ça soit personnalisé et aussi confortable que possible. Par exemple, le petit déjeuner était toujours préparé avant nos safaris. Une mention spéciale pour le chauffeur Dinesh, qui nous a chaleureusement accueilli le moment de notre arrivée à la gare et qui s’est toujours assuré qu’on ait les meilleures places dans les jeeps pour les safaris. Une mention aussi pour la cheffe cuisinière, qui a organisé un cours de cuisine pour nous alors que ça n’est pas une expérience explicitement offerte par l’hôtel. L’emplacement de l’hôtel est vraiment superbe, juste aux abords du parc naturel. On se sent complètement imbibé par la nature et le calme de l’endroit. Les chambres étaient aussi superbes - bien décorées et équipées.

The hotel was created and is managed by the family of legendary park ranger and naturalist Fateh Singh Rathore (aka Mr Tiger) and is deeply committed to reduce impact on the environment and on working with the neighboring communities. Rooms are large, tastefully decorated, food is amazing (veg only) and the grounds are truly well maintained and integrated with the park.
