Cinnamon

The accommodation is off the main street, absolutely quiet. The beach is about 5 minutes away. In the resort it is possible to observe birds, monkeys and various species of lizards. The staff showed us photos when the accommodation was even visited by a leopard. No one needs to worry, this happened in low season when no one was in the accommodation. Very tasty breakfast, just a shame the restaurant can't advertise more, the chef is great! I have to appreciate the staff who helped us with everything and were very friendly.

A very lovely hotel located in a small jungle of its own. Small squirrels frolic there, we even managed to see monkeys on top of the coconut trees. A short walk across the street is the quiet Agonda beach. A wonderful place for a peaceful vacation.

Liked everything.

Cinnamon is an oasis of calm off the main street in Agonda. Wooden shacks are built around a small swimming pool and dining area, surrounded by palms and lush greenery. Accommodation is fairly basic, with big comfortable beds, a wardrobe, desk and chair, and a bathroom which is partially open to the outdoors. You kind of feel like you’re living outside, a bit like glamping. I loved this, however it might not be to everyone’s taste. Breakfast is included and there were lots of choices, I particularly liked the French toast with fruit, but they offered Indian options which were very good and a full English breakfast. We arrived very late at night but they were still able to organise for us to have a meal, anything we wanted from their menu, which I was very grateful for after a long day of travelling. This was the only time we ate there (there are so many restaurants to try in Agonda) but I reckon Cinnamon has a very good chef, as the food we had was extremely well made and tasty. I’ll never forget this lovely place, I really enjoyed staying there.

The setting is great, in the middle of the trees, and a 2 min walk to the beach. The staff were helpful and friendly. The complimentary breakfast was pretty decent and a nice way to start the day eating outside in amongst the coconut trees. The room itself was very basic and in need of an update if they are to reflect the photos. Holes in the ceiling and patched up parts and the bathroom could be fresher. The aircon and ceiling fan were extremely loud, and on a number of occasions there were outages (short) but not sure if this is a resort issue or a wider local issue. I’ve never been to South Goa before so unsure if this is just what you get in this price bracket or if there are similarly priced options that are better quality. Overall, ok, but I have nothing locally to compare it to.
