Bebek Cottages Sanur

The location is in a fairly quiet area out of the main noisy area of Sanur. Scooter is required to get around. The villas are well equipped with kitchen, outdoor lounge and dining area, large bedroom (air conditioned) and bathrooms. Bottled water is supplied. Beds were comfortable and had mosquito nets, pillows were clean. Breakfast was very tasty, fresh and plentiful. The staff are very kind and accommodating. They supply a light afternoon tea and bed turndown service with chocolates. The gardens are beautifully designed, very lush and well cared for by the staff. The pool is refreshing, a good size and temperature and surrounded by the lush garden.

Sound proofing of rooms not very good as could hear people next door very clearly. Not good if you're a light sleeper. Also a bit of traffic noise from the street and aircraft noise. Wifi was kept cutting in and out. The outdoor lounge areas can be accessed from the garden by anyone - not secure - but I guess that is just the Balinese design style. As it is a bit out of the way, it was not easy to get a taxi asap. Bathroom sink downstairs needed a good scrub and floors were not very clean in the bedroom area.

Only positive things to say about Bebek. It’s a beautiful garden, the cottages are spacious and well equipped, the food is good and the staff is excellent. They really make an effort to ensure that you have a good time. Considering the price we paid per night it was especially impressive!

All options on the restaurant menu were well-prepared and delicious!

WIFI / internet service is slow and unreliable. "Charming and traditional" will appeal to some more than others, as it also means that some units are not 100% air conditioned, and have large sitting areas which are open air (including some bathrooms!) and are not air conditioned.

The grounds of the hotel interior was so beautiful with the trees, plants, flowers, fountains and pool. The rooms were beautifully decorated. The restaurant and staff were exceptional. The staff was so pleasant, friendly and helpful.

Location was not on the beach but Sanur beach was a 10 minute walk away. Restaurant was excellent! We will be back in a week's time for another 3 day stay.

There was frequent barking from what seemed to be several neighbourhood dogs.......at all hours of the day and night.
