Masseria San Paolo Grande

Overall impression was one of casual comfort and sophistication. Staff were excellent - friendly and attentive.

A bit fussy. For example, pool towels were more decorative than water absorbent; dining room pleasant but too formal for our tastes; dinner menu had no vegan options or even vegetarian. Simplify the experience.

The property was beautiful.

The 2 things I didn’t like were the chairs for supper were uncomfortable and the cushion for the long chairs were old and uncomfortable I had to triple them .

This Property truly respects the land. The food is Farm to table. It is unique in its architecture. The staff is very helpful.

Very, very nice hotel! Excellent taste in the overall decoration, every little detail was well thought of. There are two restaurants, one for breakfast, with a nice predetermined menu with small changes every day, and also the a la carte option with additional cost. The dinner restaurant is in a beautifully decorated area and the food and the wines are excellent. Everything, even the wines, comes from the Masseria grounds. Service is exceptional, everywhere in the hotel. It seems like everyone at the hotel is prepared to make your stay into an unforgettable one! Even the two mean looking dogs are nice and ignore guests. The hotel offers some activities but you need to access the site to find out about them. Do it in advance and be prepared. On our last day we found out about the cooking class and, although it was a Sunday, Nicola was very nice to organize one for us. It was a great experience and I highly recommend it. And after learning how to, that will be your dinner!

For those that cant live without a tv, this will not be a good experience... tv´s are not an option. The same goes for wi-fi. It was only available, at pitiful speed, in the reception area. Not an option if you have to keep up with work. The showerhead was the largest one I have ever seem and promised a great shower but when turned on, very little water came out. The solution was to use the douche. And, incomprehensibly, there was no soap dish. Shampoo and soap rested on the ground!

My husband and I stayed here for a couple of days while we were travelling Italy. This Masseria was the highlight of our honeymoon! It was just perfect, the service, the people, the design of the rooms ect was outstanding. The food was grown & produced on the property. It was all organic & super delicious. The property is surrounded by beautiful fruit trees and nature. So much thought has been put in to it. The pool was a dream! Perfection. Thank you so much for making our stay amazing.

Beautiful room and surroundings. Gorgeous, large pool area with bar and a restaurant with a good wine list. The staff gave a nice welcome.

We saw a rat in the outside restaurant during our dinner. The waiter said “sorry”, but nothing more. When talking to the receptionist she also said sorry, and promised to telt the manager - nothing more. Also, we saw rats in their kitchen garden and at the parking lot. Expensive restaurant compared to other Masserias (we stayed at four different).
