There was no water heater/geyser in the room. And no proper communication

Amamazikg is experience , first time sleeping in a treehouse. It was a local experience . The owner took me to a lake were he always goes for a swim . His wife made Amazing diner and breakfast ! If you ask if I recommend this place ?? Please don’t go to another place!

I had an amazing stay with Nandana and his family. He was a very attentive host, dropped me off at Lion Rock or the town centre whenever I needed free of charge. He also organised a great safari to Minneriya National Park and a tuktuk service to Dambulla for good prices. I could not reccomend this place more! He cooked for me at my arrival and served tasty breakfasts and dinners. The location is only a 15 minute walk to Pidurangala Rock and a short drive to Lion Rock. Staying in the treehouse was a super experience, even though the wifi rarely worked, it’s part of the experience to be fully immersed in nature (and a view of Lion Rock from the balcony!) It was lovely to come back after an excursion and enjoy the calm of his place. I was sad to leave so much I enjoyed my stay. Thank you Nandana for everything!

A special scenery to stay in. Felt like the middle of the jungle. The host is very nice, straight from on arrival and said hello with two lime drinks. He’ll definitely help you with organising multiple activities in the Sigiriya area. Very close to the Pidurangala Rock which is nice to climb on top for sunrise. The host’s wife cooks dinner if you request it. The food is really great.

Not for tourists who seek Western comfort. Note there will be insects and frogs but also safety nets around the beds and the tree house. The shower only works when there’s enough water in the tank, so sometimes you have to wait. Warm water might not work. Also remember you can say no to activities suggested to you.

Location is close to Pidurangala

The rooms are very outdated. We paid for a deluxe room and got a completely different room above the eating area (definitely not deluxe), which was super outdated, with barely any water pressure, and the faucet was impossible to use due to it spraying everywhere around. Tree house is also super shabby, with only cold water available.

It’s one of the best stays ever! For real there is nothing we didn‘t like here!

The host was extremely helpful. He recommended and helps arranged activities for us. He even offered to drive us for more than 5 hours to our next destination. Other than that, the place was clean and the meal there were cheap and delicious. And its only 15 minutes walk from here to the Pidurangala Rock. Definitely recommend everyone to stay here when coming to Sigiriya.

It's a treehouse, what's not to love? But also the sweet couple that run the place could not be more welcoming or helpful and made our short stay amazing.
