Boo Kirinda Holiday Resort

The Boo Kirinda is a lovely place to stay on the outskirts of Badulla. Feels like you are deep in the countryside. The road down to Boo Kirinda is interesting to say the least, it's narrow and steep with a few bends. Its only short but you need to be an experienced driver, our taxi driver was unable to negotiate the road. The staff sent for a tuk tuk which arrived quickly. The views from the restaurant were lovely. The river at the bottom of the garden looked inviting, however we declined the opportunity to swim there. The kitchen is not onsite therefore you need to pre order your food, it was tasty and reasonably priced. We opted for a Sri Lankan breakfast this was delicious. Staff were great even if their English was limited, their friendliness more than made up for it.

A wonderful comfortable stay with great food and staff who couldn't do enough for us. Kavindu especially went above and beyond. I could have sat on the balcony listening to the river and the birdsong all day long.

Some may be alarmed by the steep and winding road down to the resort, but it is perfectly safe by three wheeler. Coming back at night we saw a porcupine.

A very nice place. A little bit off but worth to go. The staff was very helping and very friendly. Good service.

It was a pretty location,the river was close by. The staff were really great.The staff went out of their way to make us comfortable.

A lovely location with the best views for breakfast we've had in Sri Lanka!

The team at Boo Kirinda Holiday Resort were exceptional. We had a warm welcome and every need catered to during our stay which we unfortunately had to cut short. They were also very accomodating when we had to check out early on short notice and we were sorry to leave as it was such a tranquil setting. The rooms were clean and tidy, the dining area at the top was a lovely vantage from which to bird watch or see the trains go past. A very thoughtfully considered place that we’d love to stay at again. The food was also excellent, some of the best we have had during our travels in SL. We also appreciated how they asked us on arrival what meals we would like and what time we would like to have them. The staff who attended to us during our stay were also fantastic, going above and beyond and it really made a difference to our experience - thank you again 🙏🏽

Not that we didn’t like it but keep in mind the access to the property is steep as others have mentioned but it’s perfectly walkable as we discovered, even for me with some mild back and hip problems.

The hotel location is extremely beautiful and calm environment with greenery and river next to the hotel. The Food we had was very delicious and affordable.it was pleasant experience for my family

The staff was extremely helpful: they arranged the transport to/from the hotel and helped us getting a ticket for a panoramic train journey. The location is just outside the city, surrounded by nature. Good food for breakfast and dinner.

The water in the bathroom was not warm enough but they were ready to fix it. The window curtain is thin and there is no way to stop sunlight at sunrise. We heard dogs barking during the night.
