Tamarind Tree Garden Resort - Katunayake

Le lieu est paisible, on se sent à l’écart de la ville. La chambre était très belle et confortable. La literie de bonne qualité. Le restaurant est bon, nous sommes content de nos plats mais petite carte.

L hotel est un ensemble de villas ( 2 chambres par villa ) parsemée sur un grand jardin au calme et a 15 min de l aéroport international. En dehors de l hotel , petit centre avec restaurant et boutique. Ideal pour un depart vers l aéroport.

Det påvirker helhedsoplevelsen at priserne er 38% højere end man ser på booking.com. I mit tilfælde skulle jeg blot finde et sted til en enkelt overnatning inden hjemrejse, og mit budget passede til denne mulighed. Derfor ødelægger det oplevelsen at man skal betale så stor en ekstra omkostning til “taxes” - noget jeg ikke oplevede andre steder i Sri Lanka. Personalet opgradere mig til en suite - det var ikke noget jeg bad om - og de forsøgte delvist at forklare prisen med at jeg var blevet opgraderet. Jeg går stærkt ind for åbenhed og transparens, hvilket jeg ikke oplevede her, desværre.

Really relaxing, excellent location. We were accepted at 5am after a delayed flight. We were also given late check out and had all our transportation arranged

The staff are super helpful and friendly The tree grounds are very special, peaceful and beautiful The chefs are professional friendly and very good with food. They even prepared a special Sri Lankan banquet for us

The rooms are a bit dated

The breakfast is okay, but just okay. Limited choices. No bacon available - in fact, no pork items on the menu, the fried eggs were carelessly prepared, far too runny. The grounds are spacious - large, quiet with mature trees and birdlife. If we were staying for a couple of days we would have been able to enjoy it. But because the location is close to the airport we used the hotel for only one night and I suspect this may be the case for many of their clients.

When we arrived, we were shown to the room and all the lights and AC were only at that time switched on. The AC in the bedroom was blowing warm air but it took the staff some time to acknowledge this. The exterior light was not working. We had to go back to Reception to arrange to move to another room, which had to made ready. Overall it took one hour before we could relax. The lighting in the Reception area is insufficient. I was asked to pay immediately on arrival, which was quite difficult with such poor visibility.

Very helpful staff! I had arrived very late in the night following a transit, and they assisted to get a villa room booked for me right away. Great hospitality I was also stranded in finding transportation to go the airport, due to the new year celebrations, the hotel arranged an in-house service to assist me swiftly. Truly grateful!
