Big Blu Mafia Island Dove Resort is located within the boundaries of the Mafia Island Marine Park. As such, guests will be required to pay a nightly entrance fee for the park at the gate before arriving. This fee is currently $20+vat per night. Big Blu are unable to accept payment of this fee. Please note that payment by cash can only be made in Dollars, Euros or Tanzanian shillings.Please inform of your expected arrival time in advance. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly using the contact details in your confirmation. Payment before arrival by bank transfer is required. The property will contact you after you book to provide instructions. A deposit may be required at the property.

El desayuno excelente servido en la mesa. Una base de fruta, pan y huevos a elegir. El sitio es para personas que quieran disfrutar de la tranquilidad y tomar parte en actividades no muy intensivas en la naturaleza. El centro de buceo es excelente. Bien equipado y con buenos guias.

It is a beautiful place, a lot of activities - daily excursions (staff even tried to organize it just for us), diving (different reefs), snorkeling, massages, everything. Food is amazing, prices are reasonable. Very peaceful, nice, calm and great send camp. Staff was also amazing, we were three young girls, felt safe and really enjoyed our last days of Tanzania.

I recently spent a weekend at Butiama Camp, perfectly located in the heart of the Marine Park. The setting couldn’t be better — peaceful, scenic, and just steps from the sea. The Big Blu Diving Centre offers a wide range of activities for both divers and non-divers, making it ideal for all interests. The food was varied and delicious, and the service throughout was exceptionally attentive.

Really relaxed vibe. Fabulous helpful staff and lots of daily options for things to do. There was a choice of main course for dinner each night and all of my meals were delicious and good value. Very quiet - just what we wanted. The locals were very friendly and there was no being hassled by beach vendors. Beautiful location

Hot showers were a bit hit and miss.

Staff molto gentile, pasti molto buoni, molto comoda la flessibilità degli orari del pranzo. Staff del diving center molto preparato e proposte interessanti. Sulla spiaggia c'è un piccolo villaggio con un buon ristorantino, un atelier di pittura e ragazzi che offrono escursioni della zona

Peccato che la spiaggia del resort abbia davanti molte barche

It is a beautiful place, well organized and very friendly and considerate staff. They remember your names, likes and dislikes when it comes to food - we were really impressed We tried different activities at the dive centre and had a great time. They also have a very comfy lounge area to chill and escape the heat.
