Bayview Hill Resort

First of all, we booked without reading the comments, after booking we read them we got a bit scared. The bungalows are simple, but you have everything you need. So definitely no luxury but with mosquito net (we did sew the little holes in the mosquito net for our own peace) but one of three night we didn’t even used it. Less to no insects came into our bungalow even though there are some spaces between the panels. The restaurant next to the beach and its stuff is just lovely! Great food, nice people and good vibes. The beach itself is beautiful and with less people than expected. If you search a nice silent place, I guess this is the best option for less money. We even extended one night because we enjoyed the beach a lot. I guess it depends a lot of how you talk to the staff, because to us they all were super nice and helpful! We did had a little guest, a small gecko which was cute but also proved that every little animal could enter. Just keep it in mind :) I think also sunset beach was the only beach without jellyfishes when we were there. The jellyfishes around the island were super small but hurt a bit nonetheless.

The bungalows itself could be cleaner and there is space missing for stowing your belongings. When you shower the whole bathroom gets wet and it runs down next to the wall at the lowest point of the bathroom and out of the bungalow without tubes. The toilet does has tubes though. :)

Beautiful views and nice beach with a real tropical vibe. Nice and big breakfast, Very friendly staff +++++

Everything was good.

The staff was very kind and professional, who help you with pleasure. The room are comfortable and clean, and what about the beautiful situation ? Few walk and we are on the beach. I recommended this hotel !

The room was big and rustic, made of wood with a very nice view from the balcony. AC and wi-fi work well. Breakfast was delicious and served on a terrace by the sea. A flight of stairs brings you to the Sunset Beach, where you can use the sun chairs. They offer free pick-up and drop of at arrival and departure and 50 Bath per ride anywhere on the island. Lovely cat and kittens and the big gentle dog guarding our door one night.

No TV and the toilet didn't flush properly. It was a bit pricey because it was around the New Year.

Close to an amazing beach!

A bit far from the walking street. The restaurant has a very poor option for breakfast even it is paid. The way to get to my room was weird. There is not space to put luggage and clothes.

We booked one of the suites and got another room when we checked in. The staff didn't say anything until we came back and asked. Then they said we could move to our right room the morning after. Because it was other guests staying in "our" room because their original room was too small for them. The receptionist also said it didn't matter because the price was the same. We chose to book the suite because of the size and it looked cleaner than other room types. He said we could change in the morning but we gave them some more time and came to the reception at 11 the day after. Then he said we needed to wait more because the other guests hadn't checked out yet. We were on our way to go to the other side of the island and we already carried our bags up to the reception. We waited for a while but couldn't wait longer. So they helped us to put the bags in our new room when it was done. The suite was a lot better and cleaner than the other room but still was not near our expectations. It was also the most expensive and worst hotel we stayed at on our Thailand trip for a month, we where sopose to stay for 5 night but stayed only 2. The location of Bayview is quite far from everything. The hotel had a "taxi" ready so you could go wherever you wanted, during the day you could call to get a ride home as well which was appreciated. When we checked out the guy in the reception said we needed to pay for the taxi. They never said anything about an extra charge for that. And we thought it was included because the hotel was so far from everything else. We had some big animals running on our roof the first night in the suite that woke us up multiply times. It was so loud and sounded like animals big as cats. The day after the staff told us it was rats and laughed. We left our room to go to the beach on the other side of the island in the morning, after that we booked a new hotel on walking street for less than half of the price and much cleaner.
