Anahata Retreat Beach Front Resort

Really dilapidated resort, stray infested dogs all over the place, even entering rooms, attacking guest children and when requested, Anahata said strays are managed or allowed by the owners.. whoever cares about the guests. Bad service, bad housekeeping, not even towels were provided, the shower rod fell on our ends coz it was rusted, linens were shredded and even basics like drinking water was not being provided.. coz as they said it’s a Eco retreat, no phones, no tv, no nothing. What it felt like was that it was all a ploy to make more money coz then they can claim they doing all this for Eco reasons. The worst experience especially because they charging like a 5 star but providing for not even a star. The GM was fighting with their staff claiming on top of his voice to all in the resort how “the juniors don’t listen to him and how he will take care of them all by firing them all”.. like seriously… do the guests need to hear it all. Apparently the owners don’t exist in this place and it’s like a mafia… running the place or rather no one is… truly the worst experience… ever!!

Greate vibe in general. The place is quiet and relaxing. Restaurant staff, surfers, and yoga trainer are super friendly. We had a great time the entire week staying there. I was given a cake on my birthday.

The room was below my expectations. I booked 1 month in advance, told them that I have a birthday, and we got a dark, small room with no sea view and interior that needs renovation. We had plenty of local inhabitants as well: a rat, 2 lizzards, several spiders, ants, cockroachs :)) The hotel refused to make an upgrade even for money or rearrange their booking to provide us another room.

It was indeed a Pretty resort, The place was lovely on The Beach.

We got food poisoning at the hotel, and we do know this for a fact, since it was the only place we ate that whole day. The staff made us pay both for the meals, and the extra day we had to stay over, since we couldn’t go away from the bed and toilet. It really was a horrible experience and they just said we we’re dehydrated. We understand that unfortunately things like this can happen, but the way the hotel management handled the situation was just horrible. They also wanted us to pay at another place than through booking.com.

It was a beautiful relaxing space by the beach. 😍😍
