Cocos Beach Resort

This is my fourth stay at this property over the last 5 years and writing this is honestly disappointing. I’ve recommended this place to my own family. I’ve sent my mother here. My sister and her husband. That’s the level of trust I had in this property. Unfortunately, this visit made it clear: this place is no longer what it used to be. Let’s start with the only positive, the view. It’s still beautiful. And that’s where the positives end. Room & Hygiene The room felt completely neglected: • Torn pillow covers • Dirty bedsheets full of lint and stains • Dust (not beach sand, actual dust) on furniture • Broken dustbin, missing basic fixtures like a soap tray • One of two plug points not working • Fan functioning randomly • AC barely cooling, with constant voltage fluctuations When we requested a change of linen, staff first came to verify if we were telling the truth, and when replacements came, they were crumpled—with the response: “that’s how it is here.” That sums up the attitude. Service has gone from warm and reliable to indifferent and careless: • 50 minutes for basic food orders • Orders forgotten completely (masala papad never came until we left) • Drinks taking 45–50 minutes even when the restaurant had barely any guests • Repeated requests (like ice) simply ignored Food quality has also dropped—prawns didn’t feel fresh, and overall it felt like zero attention to detail. There was a planned power cut (known in advance). No backup for 30+ minutes. No one answering calls. We had to physically go find and wake up staff to get the generator running. This, while traveling with a 5-month-old baby. Later, the AC started malfunctioning and began throwing ice, which scared our infant. Management Response: The manager had justifications for everything: • Blamed electricity issues • Blamed staff • Took zero ownership Here’s the reality: None of that is the guest’s problem. Final Thoughts: This wasn’t a budget booking. We paid for their most expensive room, and booked directly to support the property. Instead, we got: • Poor hygiene • Non-functional amenities • Slow, indifferent service • Zero accountability This used to be our go-to place in Palolem. It isn’t anymore. We won’t be coming back. And we definitely won’t be recommending it to anyone again.

Eating area could go with a make over

We were lucky enough to have one overlooking the sea, which was absolutely amazing. There were chairs to sit and take in the amazing view. The bed was really comfortable and there were toiletries and water if you needed them.

The location is amazing, and the bar is great.

The food in the evening was a bit of a disaster to be honest. The food all came out at different times, and some food didn't turn up.

The food was not the best

Location was fine Some staff provided very poor service. No one was there to meet us at 5 am. Night staff were all asleep and no where to be found. Receptionist was very unhelpful and could never be found

Крутое расположение, с видом на море. Вежливый персонал. Хорошая кухня. Чисто, зелено, красиво.

Wi-fi оооочень слабый, главный минус. Звукоизоляция в номерах так же не очень, но терпимо, с учетом что ты живешь на берегу моря.
