The place is amazing, right in the middle of the jungle, disconnected from everything, but still close enough to beaches and Samaná

We had a problem with the toilet (it was just a string, easy to fix), we point it out twice, no one c fixed it. The common hot shower (only cold shower in the cabañas, that's OK, but it is not specify on the website) never worked for the 2 nights we spent there and we pointed it out twice as well. On arrival the toilet looked like it has not been cleaned and toiletries were partially missing. I'm aware those are little details, but for 330 USD per night I expect little details do be included. I'm always very happy to pay high price when it's worth it

Property was beautiful and well kept.

Meals were often served cold, especially the eggs at breakfast.

Uns gefiel nicht, dass dort nur wenige Dominikaner arbeiteten, fast alle sind Ausländer, die kein Spanisch sprechen.

• Staff were genuinely friendly and welcoming. The woman who seems to be the owner or manager personally approached guests, introduced herself, and chatted with people. • We were allowed to come with our dog, which we appreciated. There is also a resident Rottweiler on the property who is generally friendly. • Staying in the jungle during rainy days was actually a great experience. We had two rainy days during our trip, and being surrounded by nature felt much nicer than being stuck at a beach in bad weather. • The main lodge is a nice communal space to sit, play board games, and spend time together. • Sleeping with jungle sounds was a memorable experience for our family. • Lots of wildlife around: birds, insects, snails at night, and we even saw a toucan. • There is a small waterfall near the property where guests can swim. • The location is visually beautiful: lush jungle, nice scenery, and tree houses look very attractive from the outside. • There is also a pool on site.

We stayed at Dominican Tree House with family. Overall, the experience did not match the price level (around $300 per night) or the way the property is described. All-inclusive / Food The “all-inclusive” concept is very limited and misleading. Food choice is small and often runs out. Instead of refilling trays, food is cooked while guests wait, which causes long delays. There was only 1 cook at a time at the kitchen. During our stay: • Dinner on day one was delayed by 1 hour • apéritif’s were delayed by ~30 minutes • Breakfast is until 10:00, but by 9:20 almost everything was gone No snacks or fruit between meals. No possibility to order food. No proper coffee service — only filtered coffee in a thermos in the morning, no coffee machine at the bar. Lunch is provided via vouchers for a nearby place with very poor hygiene. Dirty pans, no visible sanitation. Food quality was extremely low (mostly bones, feet’s, skin and chicken scraps in sauce, burnt rice). The same person handled food and money/vouchers with bare hands. Water & Showers Private cabin showers have only cold water. To get warm water, guests must use shared showers near reception. These shared showers were very dirty, with old plumbing and extremely dirty toilet brushes, and did not appear to be cleaned during our stay. Rooms Very little furniture. Only hanging chairs, no regular chair or table to sit and write or get ready. Floors were not clean. Bed linen had holes. Due to very high humidity, clothes, towels and even bed linen do not dry and become damp overnight. Bathroom area has almost no privacy: only a woven divider between toilet and room, no visual or sound privacy, no ceilings. Only one towel provided, no hand towel. Bicycles Bikes are included, but most are in very poor condition. Many have flat tyres, rusty chains, loose handlebars or broken brakes. Finding a usable bike takes time.

Entorno espectacular!! Literalmente estás en medio de la jungla. Toda una experiencia. Personal muy atento y amable.

Excursiones y actividades muy caras. El camino de acceso desde el parking podría estar mejor.
