Baan KanTiang See Villas - SHA Extra Plus

Absolutely everything about the hotel - great communication; very comfortable transport from KBV; a most warm welcome; the hotel is beautifully situated and decorated; big, clean villas equipped with everything you might need and more; A VIEW TO A KILL; huge terrace with privacy to suntan nude; large and deserted swimming pool; QUIET; the list can go on... May be the most relaxing and comfortable place I have ever visited. Thoy, the assistant manager, helped us with everything, arranged trips, brought food from restaurants, she is the gem of this place. Good restaurants in the area (Laughing Bird, Diamond Cliff), even better in Koh Lanta Old Town. Beach is very good, quiet and mostly empty.

Own transport - preferably a car, as bikes are not a safe transportation mode in Thailand - is absolutely necessary, unless walking up and down a steep hill to do shopping or go to the beach is something you like. Even more so to explore nearby attractions and restaurants - without a car you are left to either expensive (2x BKK prices) or not-so-safe taxis. We found (mid-Feb) the water in the sea to cause some itching, a bit like ant-bites - no idea why.

the individual villas are beautiful and spacious and the views incredible. We liked how low key it was, very peaceful but also help on hand whenever we needed it.

Tranquility and total independence from everyone. Spectacular.

The Villas were perfect for us. We enjoyed the quietness. Our Villa was spacious, nicely furnished, and clean. They are very sustainable, too. Every employee was very pleasant. Personally, I enjoyed their laundry service and their cleaning service - laundry will be washed the next day, and cleaning always was speckless. The cleaning ladies surprised us with a beautiful flower arrangement on our last day.

The houses are spacious, there is everything you need, the view to the bay is beautiful, staff is super friendly and helpful, the pool is a very relaxing salt-water pool, the whole place is very calm and peaceful, location is amazing close to the best beaches on the island.

The best self catering villas we've ever stayed in...from start to finish we had a ball. Collected from boat by the owner and shown exceptional hospitality by Thoy. We hope to return for linger next time. Special features was breakfast ingredients, welcome card with hand written note...all above and beyond. Fabulous breathtaking views 😍. Beach only a short walk. Thank you so much.

I could not recommend this place enough, an absolute GEM in Ko Lanta with the most amazing views, beautiful accommodation and unbelievably helpful staff. Especially Thoy, who went above and beyond to accommodate us during our stay, as well as arranging transportation for us to the next part of our trip to Khao Sok. One more thing to add was the massive jug of water in our villa to refill our water bottles rather than having to buy more and more single use plastic. Brilliant idea and much appreciated :) We can’t wait to come back for longer!
