Ananda Resort Seminyak

resort 比较大，都是独立的两层别墅。院子漂亮，泳池干净向阳。就在繁华的街道边上，住在里面确很安静。离沙滩不远，走大约12分钟可以到达。

设施有点老旧，浴室出水很小。

Traditional style bungalows in beautiful gardens, which made you feel like you are not in a city. It was a little bit shabby in some ways but not in any way that would make one feel uncomfortable, or distract from an enjoyable stay. Just a couple of cracked tiles in the pool, or slightly leaky tap. However, the pool is fantastic, huge and saltwater chlorinated so less harsh than normal chlorine. I spent much time in there. The staff were incredible and would go above and beyond. Kindness personified. It was also lovely and quiet. A bit of an oasis really. Admittedly there were no luxuries like room service or big fluffy towels, but if that’s what you’re after, why go to Bali?

the toast with breakfast was not the best, nor was there enough bacon, however the fried rice and noodles were lovely. I was a little concerned about a damaged hairdryer in my room (not electrically sound), but otherwise there was a little to complain about.

I booked this hotel on the recommendation of a couple of friends, who chose it for the location. The resort is older and traditional Balinese style. The pool is nice but I never saw anyone in it while I was there. It's difficult to be too hard on this hotel because for value for money, it's good. I stayed with my daughter and we had a large room way back at the end of the resort. A bit of a walk to get there but, it was comfortable and so were the beds. In terms of location, it's right in the middle of Seminyak and a 4 minute walk to Ku de Ta and the beach. Having said that, the resort is quiet with no street noise at all. The staff at reception were very polite and helpful, but a few times I went there, nobody was present. The place is very relaxed and that in itself has an attraction.

My daughter is a teenager and she complained about the shower, which had very little power and she found it restrictive. We had breakfast included but I wouldn't bother! The first morning I went to the restaurant, there were no staff there at around 07.45. I had an omlette the second morning with toast and the least said about that the better! There are plenty of nice restaurants in the Main Street, so it wasn't a problem. I booked 4 nights in this hotel but checked out after 2 and moved to a modern 5* hotel with better facilities next to the beach. If you are looking for a traditional budget resort that's great value in the centre of Seminyak, then this could well be it. As the traffic in Seminyak and Bali is an absolute nightmare these days, and it's difficult to get around in good time, I wanted to be close to a beach area where we could walk around and enjoy the hotel facilities. With that in mind, I moved to a 5* hotel in Legian for a couple of days but it's hard to knock Ananda for value for money.
