Cleanliness !! it was absolutely terrible the interior was also tired and in need of an update Most of all the bedding was shocking

Location. Saw deer, a few wild birds and the outlook is stunning.

We are not fussy holiday makers and appreciate wear and tear in a property but this is the dirtiest place we’ve ever stayed. If you’re letting out a property surely it should be clean! On arrival the bin had no bin liner in and wasn’t emptied. Chewing gum stuck on the lid. Dishwasher full so had to be emptied. Also stank so we bought a cleaner and cleaned it. Kettle was filthy and we had to descale it. Kitchen had to be wiped down as it felt tacky. Wardrobe in double bedroom stank of smoke so we couldn’t use it. Wardrobe in other bedroom had a kids train track just scattered on the floor. The cupboard in the room had the bedding and towels in there and the bedding wasn’t ironed and the towels were hard. The sofas, bedding and towels had a dirty smell, a bit of a musty/foisty smell, we had to fabreze them. The sofa bed was broken, we couldn’t pull it out so had to sleep on the sofa. We noticed a thin mattress so used that for the remainder of our stay. We had to move the sofa to accommodate the mattress and there was food, a couple of marbles and the remains of a toy car underneath as well as fluff. Now Xmas day. It took us ages to cook dinner as the electric kept tripping literally every 2 minutes, I thought it odd that the owner sent me a pic and a text explaining what to do if this happened, rarely apparently, but it’s obviously a problem. The owner did message to ask if everything was ok but what could they do?

Location and size were great and had utilities such as Washer, Dryer, Oven and Hob etc.

The furniture smelled of cigarettes and the sofas were very dirty. We were a family of five so myself and my wife slept on the sofa bed, however the bed is actually broken and it took me both nights about 20 minutes to get it out and put it away. If I had not been there my wife would not have been able to do it. It had a paper thin mattress but there was a clinical mattress in the room which we used but not sure if that was the intention. The pillows were awful and rock hard. Some of the towels were like cardboard they were that rough. Some TLC and a few new bits and it could be amazing.

Fantastic place to stay, we all had an amazing time, no complaints here, everything spot on and the owner was so so helpful thanks for an amazing stay, we will defo be back xx

Millie’s view was perfect we couldn’t of asked for more it had everything and more, we even had the pleasure of seeing deer and a squirrel outside of the window
