The Hideway resort is by far the very best of its type. The owners are welcoming and the staff are the same. The feeling of tranquility is superb. The food is just simply fantastic from Thai to Western dishes. The rooms are great everything you would need is there. The beds are very comfortable. The swimming pool is fantastic and has depths for all ages. We will return here again and again.

The hotel is more a motel style than a hotel, with a huge swimming pool and bar, located away from the main street and run by Craig, an expat from Ireland, always nice to chat with. The breakfast is european style and the coffee machine can brew all you wish to start the day with. The room is very large, with a comfy bed mattress and pillows...good sleeping is guaranteed.

The air conditioner blows the cold air directly to the bed, some risk of headache next morning, unless you turn it off and sleep hot. It wasn't easy to find the place, but they are working on this problem.

Helpful and friendly owners and staff. Went out of the way to make sure everything was perfect.

So many amenities! Room was very comfortable and had good wifi. The pool is clean and has a nice layout. Free cabanas with fans were a lifesaver in the heat. They make everything so easy, using QR codes throughout the facility for everything from room service to your room key. Free breakfast was good and coffee was great.

They can't take a Visa for the room key deposit. Cash or Thaipay only. The property is tucked away in an out of the way location. This is sometimes a problem when trying to get a car, but owner has a motorbike to rent.

From my first day booking in when Craig and his team were extremely helpful, to feeling like I was always welcome to ask for anything. From directions, restaurant recommendations (not that I had to go anywhere often as the resorts restaurant is awesome with an extensive menu) and in-room requests, nothing was an issue. The facilities are amazing and I will stay again without hesitation. Thank you Craig, Eve and the team.

Sometimes, you just find a bower of bliss. Fantastic hosts, fantastic food, fantastic rooms/facilities, fantastic prices & fantastic location "Hideaway" it certainly is. Don't go anywhere else in Ban Chang.
