Plataran Borobudur

Echt een aanrader in de buurt van de Borobodur. Heerlijk om een paar dagen te verblijven. De service was uitzonderlijk — het personeel deed er werkelijk alles aan om ons speciaal te laten voelen. Zelden heb ik zulke gastvrijheid ervaren. De Founders Home is prachtig en biedt uitzicht op de Borobodur. De prijs-kwaliteitverhouding vond ik ook erg goed.

One restuarnt made a mistake on the pasta and poured coffee instead of the pasta sauce, Disaster but the chef came to apologise himself together with the waiter. Good service

There was some construction work going on with some noise but that will be over soon.

During construction, the check-in was confusing.

Exquisite luxury through and through. The spa treatment is a MUST as they provide you with the entire spa villa and not just a room. We stayed only 1N and booked the Borobudur Villa. Didnt have much time to enjoy the room or the resort so I recommend staying at least 2N.

The food could be improved, satay beef and chicken quite hard, the duck also quite hard.

One of the best resort in Indonesia and the world. We’ve booked 3 villas, 2 modern pool villas and grand spa villa. The reception during our arrival was very friendly, warm and professional. We loved our breakfast at Patio Restaurant as the view from our table was amazing, you can see Borobudur temple and mountains around from it. Variety of al carte menu available to suit our needs. The villa and the resort environment also very tranquil and silent, it is best for our resilient holiday away from crowd and hectic. Mr. Bimo who was our guest liaison provide a very professional and courtesies service and helps during our stay. All the staff from concierge, buggy service, F&B servers and spa therapies provides us a very warm and professional services. It is one of the best Plataran Resort in the world.

Dislike: 1. They are in the middle of construction and all villas are only reachable by car, which makes things very hard and annoying. Check in is at the sister resort Heritage and that's also where the cars will pick you up. 2. The beautiful view that is the reason most people stay at this hotel is covered by construction. 3. Breakfast seemed winged, must stuff in the buffet was clearly cut the night before and there was only an omelet station for fresh food. Liked: 1. The traditional villas were an experience, and the view of the mountains is fantastic. Nothing like Javanese mornings! 2. The staff was super nice, helpful, courteous. This was not a 5* hotel experience and if they are in construction they should not rent the villas out. I kept regretting not getting a room at Le Temple which was recommended to me. Ironically the reason had been the view... which emerged over tarp on my stay.
