Plataran Borobudur

One of the nicest hotels I’ve ever stayed in (and I’ve stayed in many!). The room was superb, the location incredible, and the view of the temple in the middle of the jungle was mesmerizing. All the staff were very polite, and the manager was both attentive and friendly.

The only downside was that my stay was way too short! The only downside! 😆

The property’s unique location and marvellous scenery/views. Our villa was stunning, with a decent size pool and well maintained throughout. The complimentary afternoon tea was a lovely touch and the staff were excellent.

The staff were amazing. Food incredible. Views and accommodation were dreamy. Loved it all.

An absolutely fantastic setting with an outstanding view of the cultural landscape around the Borobudur temple complex, which is a significant part of the World Heritage List and can be proud of those who still experience this unique view.

The construction site is a bit of a nuisance for a Christmas holiday. Nevertheless, I'm looking forward to experiencing the new spa.

Staff wonderful. Professional, kind and discreet. Resort is 10mn from Borobudur temple that we can see from the Patio restaurant of the resort. An excellent restaurant worth a Michelin Star. Price above local restaurant but worth having at least a meal there. Excellent breakfast and afternoon tea. Room attended by quality staff. Always clean. Fruits, water and sweets left for us. Worth considering a stay if visiting the area.

Resort is located more than 1h from Merapi volcano, Prabaman temple and Yogyakarta thus be prepared to pay around A$26 minimum for a single ride and A$40 one way from/to airport. To remember that Java is at majority a Muslim country and that the 1st prayer call is at 4am. Ear plugs are provided by Resort.
