Kum Nangpaya

This is an excellent location for birders. It’s just down the road from the entrance gate at Kaeng Krachan National Park, and the huge property is in and of itself an awesome place to see a great many species, including hornbills. Meanwhile, the proprietress, Nok speaks great English and set me up with a birding guide for the park when no one else in the area could. Comfortable rooms, beautiful climate and views, tasty Thai food. I was in heaven.

Lovely location not far from national park , guide and transport arranged by owners at such short notice .lovely food cooked when needed (just had to ask) plenty of birds around the grounds .run by 2 lovely sisters .would definetly stay again . Thanks Rob and Wendy

I didn't get to see the gibbons but that's wildlife and does not reflect on this place , I did get to see plenty of cool stuff including wild sunbear out in the daytime and really enjoyed staying here 🙂

Restaurant. Big garden with many different trees attracting birds, and a lake. Peaceful. Parking outside the bungalows. Nice and service-minded owner family. Located close to Kaeng Krachan National Park.

Kum Nangpaya has a nice large open space on the property that you can enjoy. The staff was friendly, but they might not speak English. It's also at a walkable distance to the entrance to the national park.

Relative to other places in the same price point and area, this place lacks several things. Most importantly, the room was not isolated enough to keep the noise or smoke from outside from getting in. For those who are sensitive to those things, it is unbearable. The breakfast or meals were not included, which is fine, but the food options they offered did not have good value for money. If you have your own transport, eating outside is a better option. A little nitpicking: the hair dryer was not available on this property. For those who need it, you need to bring your own. The cleanliness in the room is okay, but looking closer, some places were not properly maintained, especially in the bathroom. Somehow, the room or the AC is smelly even after opening the windows to clear the air. The space has the potential to be good, but it is not there yet. If you want to stay here, manage your expectations, come in prepared, and do your research about the area.

Location, views, food, staff.

The bright light shining directly into the room all night and the unecessary music playing in the restaurant in the early evening, much nicer & more relaxing to be able to simply enjoy the sound of nature in such a natural setting.
