Oak Residency

Great place to stay in Gilgit! The view from the balcony is awesome and the hotel is very well maintained and very clean. The rooms are nicely decorated and the beds very comfortable. Great internet and nice hot shower! Loved the attention of the staff and felt very welcome. The manager let us store some bags while going to Fairy Meadows and after our stay even drove us to the bus station. Awesome breakfast with the view over Gilgit. Will stay here again when returning to Gilgit.

Good internet, an excellent hot shower and a super comfortable bed. Nice and clean. The staff was very helpful exceeding by far what they are meant to.

It is located uphill and getting a taxi is not always easy.

Tahir was an absolutely magnificent host. The hotel is clean, modern by normal standards but for an accommodation in the mountains of the North of Pakistan, it exceeded in it's modernity. I literally have not even a single bit of constructive criticism, the stay was great. A few power cuts here and there, but that is no fault of the premises. For a small and humble hotel, the food was also some of the nicest I had during my entire trip to Pakistan. Would highly recommend and I'll be back for sure.

We had a fantastic stay at Oak Residency. The host Tahir is amazing and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was great. We visited during winter and there was hot water and heating. Tahir was also very helpful in organising our trips to other parts of Northern Pakistan and is very knowledgeable in what to see and do in the area. He also joined us on a couple of our trips which we enjoyed as much as him! The chef Bakar also cooks great evening meals if you wish to eat in the hotel dining area.

The place was awesome to stay in. Treated like the big hotels do and the personalized attention was just the cherry on top. Tahir sb the owner was exceptionally welcoming, the breakfasts were on spot. The hot water facility and the good care of the staff.
