I love phants Lodge

Het is een prachtige locatie met een waanzinnig uitzicht. Je krijgt korting op de dagtour. (een aanrader) De kamers liggen ver weg van het restaurant, maar vlakbij de apenopvang waar je zelf kunt wandelen. Je kunt bellen zodat het personeel je komt ophalen met een golfkarretje. Ondanks de genoemde minpunten, hebben we genoten van de prachtige omgeving.

Bedden zijn keihard, met kriebelende lakens en dunne kussens. Ontbijt uitermate teleurstellend. Weinig keus voor de 399 Bath die je per persoon moet betalen per dag. Handdoeken bij het zwembad werden niet gewassen, maar uitgehangen. We hadden een kamer geboekt met uitzicht op de tuin, maar we keken uit op een bos. (waar overigens wel een olifant liep) De kamers liggen ver weg van het restaurant en het zwembad. Resort lig ver weg van het dorp. Je kunt eigenlijk niet zelf boodschappen doen. Personeel zegt nooit nee, maar is wel wat kortaf. Ons toilet was verstopt. Personeel was er snel om het op te lossen. Maar daarna lieten ze wel al het water op de vloer liggen. Pas toen we het vroegen werd het schoongemaakt.

Wij hadden de poolbungalow met privezwembad, echt genoten.. De olifanten kwamen smorgens ook helemaal langs onze bungalow wandelen

Arriving at sunset to elephants roaming free in their very large enclosure that's as far as the eye can see at sunset bathing and eating is truly breathtaking. Low key high service excellent quality food and drink at reasonable prices Beautiful pool- best spot to see elephants and photos don't do it justice with showers pool towels sun loungers. Truly special to see the elephants enjoying themselves from a close but not intrusive on them distance. They seemed very well cared for .

The accomodation pictures are true to reality. Somewhat functional. The bed springs are squeaky making for a noisy night as kids toss and turn. There's a few mosquito - more than other jungle locations we visited The tour starts fairly heavy handed video of animal cruelty that's been prevented by the sanctuary and this narrative continues for some time. Both our 9&11 year old were in tears but I'm not sure if the tour guide noticed. I feel the points were well made but the triplicate repetition of some points rather unnecessarily upsetting with tragic graphic details. I would advise a little more caution with young children for the tour guides as the tears returned every time they saw monkeys or elephants in Thailand which was more than once

The property was very clean and staff were excellent. A lot of wildlife to enjoy.

Bed a little hard for me.
