Bisma Eight Villas

We are currently on the last day of our 10 night stay and we cannot recommend it enough. We came here on our honeymoon and I was a little hesitant to be in such a central location but once you enter the complex it couldn't feel more serene. The team in general are exceptional. The front desk will help with anything and everything from sourcing the incense they burn for you to have in your room, to putting up a screen for additional privacy. The villas are amazing, super considered and the open plan of the GF makes it feel all the more part of nature. The bathtubs are incredible and I'm never a fan of baths, and the private pools are more than generous. The real standout star is embers kitchen where you have breakfast included but can also have all your meals at. They have an incredible sustainable garden that each morning you can pick vegetables from for the chefs to cook (highly recommend the aubergine and the bok choi). The food and the drinks at embers are in my opinion some of the best in all of ubud and are far superior to the sister restaurant copper which gets better reviews. Embers and the team that work there are one of the most underrated things in ubud. If we are their every day I would be happy and we have just eaten at 3 3* Michelin restaurants in the past month, so believe the hype. We want to say a huge thank you to the team at Bisma Eight, we will be sad to leave but the memories will be with us. Side note and other suggestions for people staying in the area. Wild air opposite has an amazing view and jungle pool with amazing food so cross over and try that. The main pool at Bisma 8 is great but the food is not on the level of embers. If you want other great food do Honey and Smoke, it's as good as they say. Donna for lunch is also amazing and just around the corner. Naughty Nuri's for the best Indonesian Ribs! Then for great food drinks and overall experience go for a sunset drink at Ambar at the Mandala and Kubu and get one of the cocoons for dinner, one of the best views I have ever seen. Overall we couldn't recommend this place more whether it's for a few nights or a longer stay it's the perfect place in ubud in every aspect.

It’s a beautiful resort/set of villas. Really lovely spaces, very decent sized pool for each villa and lots of lush greenery. Thoughtful design and materials throughout. Loved the veggie gardens set next to the restaurant and a nice yoga space with daily classes offered.

We loved that the villas were open to the elements - so the downstairs does not ‘shut’ as such … we didn’t love the fact that the monkeys could come in for visits. But it’s their space right so who are we to complain … you just need to be ok that that’s a possibility (likelihood?!)

We stayed in a one bedroom villa at Bisma Eight villas for three nights. The villas are beautiful and we were very comfortable. Bedroom is upstairs and open living area is downstairs. Breakfast was delicious and staff were friendly and attentive to dietary requirements. There is a quite a bad smell in the upstairs bathroom from the sewer which needs tending to. I’d also recommend a TV in the upstairs bedroom in case you feel like relaxing in full air conditioning at night with no mozzies about. Other than that, it’s a lovely villa complex. We even awoke to an earthquake in the early hours of one morning and were upstairs at the time which was a bit frightening, the Villa stood up to the earthquake just fine, but we noticed the staff didn’t mention anything as it must be business as usual in Bali!

The property is absolutely stunning! The decor is insane. The Villa is so well equipped, the pool is a great size. The staff were so attentive, quick room service with the most amazing food!! My daughter was sick for 3 days when we arrived and they went over and beyond to help me.

I am really struggling to find any negatives, there is not much sun in the garden for sunbathing.
