Ocean View Beach Resort - Kalpitiya

good location and friendly staff, the beach is nice, but the water looks a bit murky unlike the beaches in the south or the east, but not bad for a swim.

There's a bit of a fly infestation at the moment which is annoying but hopefully it may be seasonal.

Right on the beach, very friendly and accommodating staff. Great place if you want to chill out and the sea is good for swimming.

Absolutely​ adorable little cottages directly on the beach. Simple but very comfortable. I loved hearing the ocean day and night. Large  breakfasts and I loved the fried fish for dinner. Dedicated and attentive staff whether I wanted tea or I needed information or transportation. They have kitesurfing lessons and rent gear as well as arrange for Safaris and other excursions which was hugely convenient. They went above and beyond to make sure I had eveverything I needed. I loved it so much I even stated well quite a few extra days.

The location is perfect - so nice that you can just walk to many restaurants along the beach without the need for shoes from the accommodation! Unfortunately the staff in the restaurant had just left so there were limited food options but the food we did have was good. There is a sweet little fish place to the right on the beach and plenty of options the the left. The cabanas were perfect for us, loved showering outside! The air conditioning worked very well and the bed was comfy. Had a lovely dolphin boat trip also that was organised for us, which left right off the beach next to the accommodation. Dogs were well looked after and so friendly!

The coffee wasn't great!!

My favorite place in Kalpitiya, located right by a beautiful and clean private stretch of beach. The owner is super friendly and helpful, and can organize all kinds of activities for you, including kite surfing lessons. The cabanas are very spacious and got everything you need. At night you hear the ocean, what’s adding to the very calm and relaxing vibe of this place. Very amazing value for money, will definitely come back and stay there again!

Basically, it's a wooden shed on the beach, with showers and toilet. The location is fantastic, and anything else would spoil it.

Food could have been better, not very good but there are other places to eat

Staying only 50 feet from the beach was fantastic. Great to have a long swim every morning (and anytime it got to warm). The manager was very helpful with anything we asked for. He even asked me to join him to a private celebration at another hotel. A great place to stay and relax.

The location on the beach is amazing and the beach bar is good. The staff are helpful.and friendly. Tey Mom's place for food and great service - wonderful

The beds are firm, which is fine but ours was also very creaky!
