"nice place for one or two nights"

we had a really nice bungalow on the beach. kalkudah in general is expensive compared to all other places we visited during our 4 weeks in Sri Lanka.

the food was good but to expensive compared for what you get.

"Beach front location. Friendly staff."

Directly located at the Passikudah beach, the location is stunning. The premise itself has only four rooms for up to four occupants. The staff is not staying within the resort but there is a kitchen where the staff cook fresh food as per order. We had breakfast and dinner, - all Sri Lankan style. Try out the puttu…it was delicious. The beach is nice (too many cows though and their left-overs) but fine sand and a shallow access to the sea.

We were missing a pool. But not much as the sea is right in front of the resort. An outdoor fresh water shower would be nice when coming back from a dip in the sea.
