Sunset at Las Cabanas

Right on the beach with amazing views and easy access to the beach.

Access to the property from the main road is difficult, especially when carrying luggage bags. You have to walk 10 minutes on the sand/water/rocks to get to your room. Luckily the staff meet you at check in / check out and carry your luggage for you across all the sand and water.

Ok breakfast staff was great

It’s on one of the nicest beaches close to el nido. There is a good vibe in the evenings along the restaurants on the beach. It’s a great spot to relax and soak up the stunning natural beauty, and it’s only a 15min tuk tuk into el nido

Location was good, no facilities tho but being beach front makes it better.

The bed wasn’t that comfortable

At check in we were told that breakfast can start as early as 630a. We had an early pick up the next morning for our island hopping activity so were ready to get breakfast at 630a. When we arrived at the restaurant we were told that breakfast is not available until 1 hr later. The staff at breakfast area talked to the chef who was just starting to prepare and they tried to accommodate our request. We were able to get breakfast by 7a.

I read reviews that it would be a long walk to the hotel. I didn't realize how long that walk would be. There is no road directly to the hotel. You get dropped off at McDonald's then you walk down several steps thru shops till you get to the beach. From that point you have to walk a long way to get to the hotel. You have to walk on sandy/rocky beach and if the tide is high, expect to get your shoes wet before you can make it to the hotel. If you have bags to carry you carry/drag your bags thru the sand. By the time you get to the hotel, you're huffing and puffing, dripping in sweat and your shoes either sandy or wet. The 2 nights we stayed at the hotel, there were about 4 events of power outage.

The scenery

Bad net and very bad wifi, i got a heatstroke and the hotel staff didn’t even bother to offer any help, not reachable via phone call or text, if you have breakfast included you still need to pay for some of the options, overpriced airport pick up and drop off and also an hour late for our airport drop off and when we had our check in they first told us to wait for our room and take a seat and after waiting for almost an hour my partner approached them and they said it was already done. I mean why make us wait even longer when the room was already done?

Location and cabanas were cozy and comfortable

The power of the water shower. Access by walk crossing the beach. No access by car is possible. Service for breakfast is low

The location was excellent as you were literally on the beach. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly l. The food in the restaurant was great too!

As we went out of season, the beach was very quiet at night and made some meals out uncomfortable. El nido town was a great alternative. There is quite a lot of noise and light in the room at night and the room can be quite small for a longer stay.
