Lung Pod 9 resort

We booked one night to leave the day after from the airport, the shuttle was good and cheap. The spot on the beach was nice and the restaurant very good.

We booked a bungalow with one double bed and one sofa bed but the sofa bed was not existing. The front desk was not able to speak English and offered us a mattress to put on the floor for our daughter.

They allowed us to check in three hours early with no charge. But, the best thing about this hotel was not the hotel. It was a restaurant about 750 meters down the road on the opposite side of the street. We had possibly the best dinner we had in all of Thailand at the restaurant - and it was very affordable. Steamed fish. Tamarind shrimp. And more.

Each room is in a pod. The restaurant across the street looks seriously dangerous. The doorway to the bathroom is only about 5 feet high - so watch y9our head. There is not much room beyond the space for the bed. However, it was perfect for what we needed - a 1 day stop over on our trip from Koh Tao to Bangkok.

We left the room in the middle of the night because my husband was bitten by something and became allergic. There were some insects in the bed, they were jumping

The property owners are kind, the bungalow was clean. Transfer to airport is 100thb.

A lot of ants on the table and desk. The sewage smell in the bathroom was very intense. The ceiling of the bathroom had not been cleaned for a while. The long stretch of beach is not as pretty as in the google images, there’s an estuary nearby hence the water is not clear and for those brave enough to swim the water is very shallow.

Great location, beach less than 30seconds away. Clean and good WIFI.

Proximity to airport Decent restaurant in good location across the road. Didn't try the 'steamed/burned crap' that was on the menu tho.

No staff there to greet us, had to wait half an hour in the boiling heat, advertised airport transfer was not free. English of staff was poor, so we had difficulty in making ourselves understood. (Ok, our Thai was even poorer.) Karaoke at the restaurant across the road went on to the early hours and our room was actually vibrating. Dogs barking outside the pod at 5.30am.
