Khao Sok Hill Top Resort

A super lovely family run this place. They’re very informative and help booking everything. They also run a nice restaurant on sight. The tents are perfectly nice and it’s great to wake up in jungle. We did have a bad experience with a guide who couldn’t walk well/speak English but wouldn’t allow us a refund but the lady who owns this helped sort it out as best she could. We will stay here again when we next come! Do rent a bike though as taxis into town are quite expensive :)

The proprietors are fine. Just don't expect everything to be formal and immediate. Things happen and trips/transfers do get booked/arrive on time, just be patient - you are in the jungle and not at the Ritz. If you want something to eat, just ask at the cafe, the proprietor can usually facilitate your requests. I am vegan and I was catered for. Nothing like waking up in the beautiful jungle - it was a special experience. You are also provided with a fan with the tent which does the job (see image). Ask at the cafe if anyone is going into a town and you might get a lift, if not you walk - it's casual.

I sort of knew that it would be back to basics. Don't eat around your tent or you will attract ants. It also has to be a quick cold shower in the morning I'm afraid - so don't expect anything luxurious. When walking into Khao Sok town, and as you turn the corner onto the main street, there are monkeys on the left-hand side across the river who will swim across to you if you offer goodies. Watch out that your phone or other valuables don't get snatched by them - they are spiteful little creatures.

Best hosts ever, they are very very nice, very sweet and make you feel like at home. The tent is comfortable and has everything you need. The prices at the restaurant are the same as everywhere else and the food is good :) The taxi to get there is around 250baht and from there to the station they usually drive you with the sidecar for 50baht/person. It was very reasonable prince! And it's nice to be in the middle of the forest.

Maybe it was in the booking, and we missed it, but the room has no air conditioner. The fans are not enough. You need to be used to sleeping in a hot, humid room. The water pressure in the shower was very low, and there was only cold water. Also, it was surprising that the owner asked for a passport as a deposit! But we agreed on 1000 baht instead.

Beautiful and serene, very relaxed, lovely hosts who really help, lovely food, had to go to the pharmacy as hurt my leg, they were very helpful. Would recommend if your after peace & quiet

Relatively expensive for just a tent Toilets were not being cleaned regularly and one of them couldn't be closed from the inside
