Cay Sao Resort

Beautiful location, very quiet and peaceful

Staff were very friendly and talkative. They were very happy to assist with anything. The bungalow rooms were very clean and tidy and quite comfortable.

Location wasn’t great. There’s not much around. If you want a stay that is away from busy areas (and want nothing around) it’s great. The beach wasn’t really useable. You can’t swim there. The pool was nice though.

Scenery, right on the beach,the staff always happy to help even allowed us to cook a special streak meal for birthday and bought a cake,staff always working to keep beach and surroundings in clean condition despite natures attempts at decorating with seaweed every day.We hired a scooter from them and they suggested places to go,good choice of food and open every day for breakfast,lunch and dinner,noticed guests from other resorts came to eat,lovely swimming pool,with plenty of chairs.lovely family run resort.

Food was varied and really good, prepared fresh by the staff in the open kitchen. Small hotel with a few beautiful bungalows and a nice garden in front of the sea. Family running the hotel is really friendly and helpful, always present to answer our queries, help us on what we wanted to organise, and it felt like a great warm atmosphere.

Beautiful and calm place Very “homey”. The staff are very nice and welcoming, they prepare breakfast and dinner on the spot. It is a little far from attentions (25-40 drive) but if you’re looking for quite and peace it is the place for you

The location is on the 'quiet' side of the island [which we wanted] but a taxi to the main town was very reasonably priced and organised by the Cay Sao staff. Within a km either side there were other resorts to explore for drink and food and a local shop. The swimming pool was lovely as the sea on this side of the island is not that suitable for swimming - there are many rocks and it is very shallow for a long way out. Again, we knew this before we went. The bungalow was very pretty and had everything you need. Breakfast was good as was all the food - all cooked to order and very reasonably priced.

As previous reviewers have noted the mattress is very firm - but we found that was the case in most places on our adventure. Please remember the 'price point' of this resort - it is very good value for money but if you want luxury this is not for you.
