Cay Sao Resort

This is a difficult resort to grade. The place is run by very young people and has the feeling that it’s missing a leader. The staf try help in every way. But it still seems that something is missing. The same 4 people seem to do everything and so things feel like lots unfinished. The adjacent beach was very dirty. And really not swimable. But the pool was pleasant. It’s quite remote. So transport is a must. It’s also the most expensive we have paid in Vietnam. And although nice. Not worth the price. Plus we noticed the cook cooking chicken from frozen. This is a no no to me. But maybe not a big deal for others. The pedal bikes are not usable. But the motor bikes are very good standard. The charged us 8% for paying by card. Where normally we paid nothing or 3% maximum. To be fair. The staff of about 4 do everything and work long and hard. But. It’s just lacking !!!! English as a means to converse is very limited.

Le cadre est super avec un jardin bien entretenu. La famille de Nyny est très sympathique. Nous avons été surclassés et avons habité 3 jours dans le bungalow le plus proche de l’eau. Super cadre !

Les bungalows commencent à être défraîchis par manque d’entretien. Le bois des encadrements de fenêtres sont pourris. Le robinet de la salle de bain a coulé durant 3 jours malgré notre signalement… Les rebords verticaux de la piscine sont verts. Le ménage est léger (crottes de geckos sur les rebords de fenêtres, toiles d’araignées dans la salle de bain). Le ménage et le ravitaillement en bouteilles d’eau ne se font qu’à la demande. Le restaurant est correct, sans plus… et surtout cher par rapport aux prix pratiqués au Vietnam. La « plage » n’est pas baignable car polluée par les déchets rapportés par la mer. Mauvais rapport qualité /prix …Dommage !! Nous avons logé dans des bungalow plus propres et moins chers ailleurs.

All the staff were lovely , always very helpful and food is cooked fresh as you order and is very tasty and delicious. Lovely view of the sea

Resort molto carino e tranquillo, personale gentilissimo e amichevole

Beautiful huts right on the beach. We were there during the power cut but the staff were great and still managed to cook us a delicious dinner in the dark. Loved the hammocks and the pool table.

Mooie bungalows met uitzicht op zee. Fijn zwembad. Aardig personeel. Lekker eten. Hele fijne rustige plek. Kleinschalig.

Om naar een mooi strand te gaan moest je je verplaatsen. Hygiëne in de badkamer.

Wspaniała, rodzinna atmosfera. Przepyszne jedzenie, przygotowywane na miejscu. Lokalizacja z dala od turystycznych miejsc, po drugiej stronie wyspy ale jak dla mnie to zaleta. Na miejscu można wynająć skuter. Chętnie tu kiedyś wrócę.

Eine sehr schöne Anlage, toller Pool, freundliche Angestellte, der Garten+Strand ist sehr gepflegt. Toller Blick auf das Meer. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt!

Frühstück auf ein Getränk und ein Essen (Pancake oder ähnliches) beschränkt. Ist okay. Wurde uns aber erst am vierten Tag gesagt. Aber ab Tag 1 berechnet. Zum Beispiel ein zweiter Kaffee. Bei Kartenzahlung happig 12.5% Aufschlag. Auch das wurde nicht vorher kommuniziert.
