Mombasa Continental Resort

The view was very good. The stuff also was very good. Helpful smile all the time.

The Shanzu Beach is the best beach in Mombasa. Only Continental Ressort offers a Beach were you can lay directly on the beach between palms. On Bamburi beach this is not possible. On Shanzu beach it is quiet and there are no disturbing beach boys. On the weekend you can meet the local youth and families on the beach and as usual, Kenians are very friendly people. The garden is very well maintained and the chief gardener is cleaning everyday the beach, what is a lot of work. Opposite the Hotel is located the "Safari Inn", so we go out without Taxi. That's super practical.

We asked for fresh Mango juice and the bar on the beach didn't serve it, because they didn't have. But then we found out that the main bar has fresh Mango juice and we recognized that they were just to lazy to bring some. But a bar lady was later so nice to bringe fresh Mango juice. We didn't like also the changing place for dinner.

The breakfast was typical Kenyan, plenty and lots of variety. It was always fresh and we didn't experience stomach upsets. The staff were very friendly, we enjoyed the all inclusive package often prompted by the friendly staff. The rooms were timely cleaned daily. The beach front was beautiful and relaxing.

They can do with another swimming pool, the one existing is medium sized and was getting crowded often. They need a changing room with showers, it was uncomfortable to change in the toilets that were sometimes not clean They can do with more beach beds

The staff are very friendly , beautiful beach and ambience, good variety of the breakfast and dinner. We were all inclusive package, the lunch buffet can have more variety. The relaxing are la near the beach is wonderful. It's children friendly. The beds are comfortable. The shower pressure of water is great. Rooms are clean and very well lit. Beautiful dining area. Beautiful entertainment.

Lunch for all inclusive package can have more variety , we didn't like the fact that the drinks had two separate types. The ones who were paying on half board for soft drinks got fresh drinks, the ones on all inclusive like us got soft drink that were already decarbornated like the sodas. We didn't like that at all. It's like you're at a disadvantage for taking the all inclusive package. Too many flies when eating in the dining areas. Also no air condition in the dining areas . They can put up some fans. No hot water in the evening to shower but there was hot water in the morning.

Hot water. We arrived at 10pm EAT it was a late check in. We hit the shower- the water was lukewarm. We let it run for a while untill we decided to close it. Next day the hot water was available. Am guessing they use a boiler to supply hot water to the rooms, so when many people shower there is no hot water. all in all, not a big problem if you like showering with lukewarm water.

the facility is very beautiful with a unique charm and identity, indeed it is quite comfortable. The beach is abosoloutly fabulous. Breakfast and dinner buffet has a number of varieties, it was good.

while I could shower in hot water during late afternoons, in the morning I repeatedly had to shower in cold water.

Most of the staff were nice and friendly ,the food was okay ,best room given with a lovely ocean view and on special request at the reception,they helped me make a surprise for my husband with a nice bed decor ,fruit and wine package.

There was no hot water . It was so frustrating as we had a one year old who needed a warm bath and for us too we enjoy a warm bath . No hot water then spoils the deal . With an excuse of not having a lot of guests so they cannot pump hot water . I could not understand that as we were paying clients else they meant we shouldn’t have been there . Not so good but we had to stay any way and have cold shower .

This place is like heaven... everything is 💯 perfect.. I will recommend everyone to this place.. The all place, hygiene, service,rooms,pools,gym,sandy beach,...weuh . I swear my next visit....will always be here..
