Abraham Beach House

Absolutely everything. The property is really beautiful and so peaceful. We really enjoyed watching and listening to the many different species of birds, relaxing on the balcony and exploring the nearby beach. The rooms are clean and decorated beautifully, the hot water works and the beds are comfy. We also saw very few mosquitos despite being surrounded by nature. Prasad and his family are lovely. They really went out of their way to help us and make sure we had the most amazing time in Tangalle. The beach less than 5 minutes walk away is deserted and beautiful. There are also more beaches nearby, each with their own unique character. If you want to learn surfing, these beaches are perfect! They also did some laundry for us, gave us a lift to the beach early in the morning, and let us try so many different kinds of fruit and local dishes, cooked by our favourite chef in Sri Lanka, Anoma! They also took time out of their busy day to arrange for our travel onwards to Udawalawe by tuktuk, and let us use an empty room whilst we waited for it to arrive.

This homestay is well and truly a home away from home. The owners go out of their way to help in every way possible. The evening meals are very good and there is a wide variety of choices. The breakfast has options, and it is delicious as well. The beach is only about 200 meters away and it is secluded with just a few people there. I highly recommend this place. It is the best we have had in Sri Lanka.

Home cooked food fantastic. This is a family run guest house,a little bit off the beaten track but near the Tangalle Road,so easy move around In addition there is a beautiful deserved tropical beach at the end of the lane. It's a gem..

I liked EVERYTHING.

Abraham and his family made our stay very unique, it was the best one of our journey! We came back 2 times during our trip. Rooms are very clean, all the food - both breakfast and dinner - was very good, the nearby beach is very isolated and beautiful (most of the time we were alone or only with the fishermen), the area is very peaceful and all of the family members are very very kind and helpful. It will be very hard to find another place like this in the area, i guess impossible. There are different stores nearby and for the market you can go to tangalle, which is close and convenient by bus or tuktuk. First choice for us if we come back to SL :-)
