Exceptional stay from the cozy cabin, stunning fjord views, incredible food, and more. Most of all, the folks at Holmen made me feel so welcomed, cared for, and included all the holiday celebrations. Truly a wonderful experience and hope to return again.

Everything exceeded my expectations. My only call out would be some accessibility challenges if I brought my old and broken family tree members. It's would be challenging for them to navigate around some of the property, but admittedly I'd wouldn't change a thing - love the rugged beauty and preserving some of the raw habitat the property is built up on.

Wir waren ungeplanter Weise eine Nacht im Holmen, da unsere Fähre zum Festland ausfiel. Was für ein Glücksfall - wir wurden nach einer Buchung relativ spät am Abend ausgesprochen freundlich empfangen und haben ein sehr schönes Zimmer mit Aussicht aufs Meer bekommen. Das Frühstück war ein Highlight, es können verschiedenste süße und pikante Gerichte bestellt werden, alles wird frisch aus lokalen Lebensmitteln mit top Qualität zubereitet. Leider konnten wir nicht mehr zum Abendessen bleiben, da wir zurück aufs Festland mussten.

Nur, dass wir nicht länger als eine Nacht bleiben konnten.

My room has a big window looking out to the water and the fjord, very enjoyable. I book dinner (which is a must), total enjoyment, like dining in any top Michelin restaurant in city center. The chefs are very good at what they do. The best breakfast, thank you Hotel Holmen.

it is lots of work to get here. Because it's Sept, I have to rent a car at Bodo and then take the 3 hrs ferry to reach here. Holmen is very close to the ferry terminal. The hotel owner told me that i can fly in next time, or pick up a rental car in the island.

Beautiful location close but far enough away from the busier Reine

Very difficult to manage getting luggage from parking to the rooms and as it’s a small property there is no one to help with the steep hill and rocky path
