Casa de la Playa Beach Resort

Stayed in this simple little cabin on the ocean shore for 3 nights. At first we weren't too sure as it's a small cabin but it quickly became apparent what it lacked in size it made up for it in comfort. You can cook, you can have a good shower (cold) comfortable bed and an amazing relaxing veranda with stunning views. This is a peaceful resort so you won't hear no music, party people or any of the nonsense. You will need a motorbike if you like to get around as this is a little remote and you like seeing a bit of the island, or go to a shop. Took us about 25 minutes to get from siquijor port by motorbike in relaxed cruising mode. Motorbike you can rent straight at the port and is around 350 per day, we haggeled it too 300 a day. Staff is very friendly and helpful. You can buy a 6 gallon jug of water on site and off course a few beverages. Beach is really nice, do bring water shoes like everywhere else in the Philippines it's a bit rocky in the water. You can rent snorkeling gear at the reception. Overall a great stay if you are laid back and don't need many luxuries. I would definitely go back there any day but be aware you will get mosquitos coming at you.

Maybe a mosquito net over the bed would have been nice.

Located on a very quiet stretch of beach with a very nice porch and seating area.

Internet didn't work in the cabin, and there were many power outages.

The staff was friendly and helpful.

Casa de la Playa Beach Resort had its best times years ago it feels like. Everything is old and not in the best state anymore.

I only like the personal they are friendly. and the view.

The room that we reserved was a beachfront type of accommodation. I didn't expect to stay with such a beautiful view. The room was also great to stay. The beautiful sunset was what I am very awe about. I can stay there for long. Also, the quite atmosphere is what I liked about. You can have your me time and appreciate the beauty around you.

Mathilda was AMAZING.

The place is not suitable for anyone who needs consistent Wifi. We had to follow up all the time with no proper action. Very slow wifi until the end that we had no choice but to check out the night before to find better reception some where The aircon in the first room assigned to us doesnt work. Literally na malakas pa ang Fan. We complained and one of the Receptionist just said “Mao man god na inyo gi book. Dadto unta mo sa beach front. Translation: That’s what you booked for. You should've booked for a beachfront room instead. In the end, we transferred WITH A FEE because their aircon is not working. The new room is bigger but aircon still can’t sustain
