The Birchwood Retreat, Madikeri

I was stayed in the 3bedroom villa, the villa was nice and ambience was awesome.

The breakfast buffet was not what I expected from a 4-star hotel; the spread was very limited, and the restaurant staff did not attend to customers properly. Due to an unclean fish tank situated just in front of the restaurant, the area is emitting a very bad smell.

The location is great, the staff are amazing as they go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. There's a good spread for breakfast with sufficient variety! It's a great option for those with pets.

The Villa at which we stayed was good, except the kitchen needed some sprucing. It gave an impression of neglect and brought down the overall impression of the Resort (which otherwise is good)

Beautiful villas , big balconies , very spacious and beautifully designed . Clean pool , effective gym and spa service in the room is a boon Great for pets of all sizes . Enough space to roam around . Very kid friendly and lot of activities for them . Safe and well maintained .

Good facilities, very clean, cooperative and nice staff, clean pool, good number of children's activities, very value for money, large comfortable rooms, natural beauty at property.

Food can be improved in terms of taste. Location is slightly away from main city/attractions, but that is not strictly a con for me. Also, at this price point there should be a safety deposit box in the room. None of these are deal-breakers.

It’s a huge coffee estate property and lot of amenities. Best place to enjoy as a group.

Gym is below average and since the outdoor activity area is under maintenance we couldn’t explore.
